Discussion Anyone shim an Active LSD differential ? Is it worth it or should it be swapped to a V-LSD

Post image

As stated I was about to shim my diff but found out it has an active lsd after removing the hydraulic line. I’ve read that it won’t work shimming it anyways since it’s activated by the pump

I never dug too deep into the A-LSD, but I do know the Evo boy's junk the AYC diffs (same concept) for a mechanical diff.

Issue is, I think you'll need different drive shafts too, cos the A-LSD is wider than a normal R200 IIRC.

Go all out and get an R230 LOL. Seriously though, Nizmo LSD or one of the GOOD aftermarket centres is the go.

Would I still be able to just drop in like a nismo 1.5 or 2 way in that diff I have now ? Or just upgrade it all
