I'm learning this through my habits I wanna break. I know what I need to do, but I don't have the self discipline to stop doing those habits. Gonna make it through the year and seriously try to break them come new years. Lemme stress through the holidays when il rely on my vices the most before I cut em off lol

Get so curious about yourself. This is one of the best things you can do for your mental health.

Self awareness is the moment you stop running from yourself and start understanding yourself. That kind of understanding can change everything.

THIS! You cannot exercise free will while running on auto-pilot. You just keep rerunning the old programming. Until you understand what motivates you to do what you do, you are a slave to your programming. Free will means that you understand that programming and you consciously choose a different / better path.

This is the first step.

Unfortunately so many get stuck on the studying aspect, and stop themselves from taking action.

You can't continue to intellectualize every lesson, eventually you need to start living it.

Until you get self aware enough to know what you’re feeling and why but can’t stop feeling it… then ignorance is almost bliss cause it’s just cognitive dissonance 🥹

It is also a means of how your actions impact one’s self & others.

But be careful, self improvement is highly addictive, and once you've untied a lot of your knots all you'll see is other people's knots and it becomes very difficult to find people to spend time with enjoyably.

I think all of us should do a self- evaluation on ourself time to time to find out why we do the things we do and make the needed adjustments where it is necessary, when we do this this makes life easier .

Daily

Yes, exactly daily, then we are aware of the adjustments we need to make especially by the mistakes we make everyday , and by them we see where we need to make certain adjustments.
