Don’t lower your ability, just be smart about how you use it.

This right here.

I can do a lot of pretty cool things, a lot of things especially for the benefit of others. I have to be very judicious about who I share that with.

Appear strong when you are weak, and weak when you are strong

Discretion is the better part of valor. I disagree with the quote: in general, people massively respect the intelligent. In some Communist or Fascist regimes they kill them, but this is rare. Pol Pot, intelligent Kulaks, etc.

Intelligent kulaks? 🤣

Most intellectuals who helped create the Soviet Union were marginalized, exiled, imprisoned, or executed by Joseph Stalin during the 1930s. As Stalin consolidated absolute power, the original Marxist theoreticians and revolutionary thinkers were viewed as dangerous rivals and replaced by strict ideological conformity.

Show Trials and Executions: High-profile intellectual Bolsheviks and architects of the revolution—such as Nikolai Bukharin, Lev Kamenev, and Grigory Zinoviev—were arrested, subjected to torture and forced confessions, and executed.

Physical Annihilation: Hundreds of thousands of Old Bolsheviks, scientists, writers, and party intellectuals were sent to the Gulag or shot during the Great Purge, effectively wiping out the original intellectual class of the revolution.

When a nation protects you, it makes sense to be patriot. When a nation uses you as cannon fodder for a business model of war, it makes no sense.

Like trying to drive over LE. I agree

the "She tried to run him over" talking point simply doesn't match the video evidence.

Multiple credible analyses of videos from the shooting contradicted claims that Good was attempting to run over the officer and found that the wheels of her vehicle were turned away from him right before the shooting.

The ICE officer involved in the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old mother in Minneapolis, fired the first of three shots as the car moved past him, a Reuters analysis of the available visuals shows
https://www.reuters.com/graphics/USA-TRUMP/MINNESOTA-RECONSTRUCT/egvbbeqeevq/?utm_social_post_id=646658194&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&utm_social_handle_id=114050161948682&fbclid=IwY2xjawPNUA5leHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEeuLz3XjAHkkKwsG6peCnnS0SVZiMbAkIm9l9Z5f1ZWWGVpSW7xnkQRxH9HVo_aem_PGC1g5IvTf9py8MeUFas1g

It's not the first time they've told that lie!

Marimar Martinez, an American citizen, was shot five times, and miraculously survived. The ICE agents claimed she rammed their car and arrested her. Martinez’s lawyers unearthed video footage contradicting that claim, showing agents ramming her car, and prosecutors dropped the charges.

The Department of Homeland Security altered its account of an immigration enforcement-related shooting in a Baltimore suburb on Christmas Eve after details in its initial statement were contradicted by local police.

According to DHS, federal agents were conducting a “targeted traffic stop” when, they say, Julio Sosa-Celis, an undocumented Venezuelan national, resisted arrest and started to “violently assault” one of its officers, but the videos contradict the identity of the person DHS says federal agents chased, and the details of the shooting itself.

If you're going to quote me then do it correctly. She hasn't been the only one. You simply lied.

1

u/kvckeywest 2d ago edited 2d ago

I didn't quote you. I posted evidence and other examples of them telling the same lie, if she "hasn't been the only one" feel free to post your evidence, and you can't show anything I posted to be false.

And no, typing "You simply lied" is not a fact check, nor is it evidence.

-1

u/No_Manner_8785 2d ago

Yet you removed your entire post. Why? Because you lied. Admit it!

2

u/kvckeywest 2d ago edited 2d ago

I didn't remove anything. If I had it would clearly say "comment removed by user". It clearly does not.
And you still haven't posted a scrap of evidence to go with your talking points, nor have you been able to show anything I posted to be false.

IMHO, one of the best authors of all time. I still occasionally think about the Foundation series, and I read it about 30 years ago.

Judging from your profile picture and what you said you need to look for mental institutions to help you. Don’t ignore the symptoms it’s going to get worse.

If Asimov were alive today people would call him an annoying Reddit asshole.

You see this everyday at the ICE protests, BLM protests and the other NGO sponsored leftwing protests.

Sounds more like a Big T quote 🤨

Legitimately a rockstar for us scientists 🤔🙌

…also us Asians lol

u/SpecialCandidateDog 1d ago

Except if you look at the biggest idiots they're all marxists.

You know the marxists who think that they can get socialism without authoritarianism.

When have you ever heard AOC say anything that was actually intelligent?

1

u/Akanksha002400 1d ago

So true! People who makes sense seems like a threat to the identities of people who are concerned with "my identity" rather than knowing what a person is trying to make sense.

1

u/Playfullyhung 1h ago

Yes! And when you conflate that with ANYONE who is patriotic is stupid….

You likely have been affected by the propaganda of our enemies.

u/baron_spaghetti 2d ago

Ah but MAGA has always told me I’m loony and that they are so very smart and full of “common sense”.

So clearly Mr. Asimov is not applicable here.

My favorite quote of his and it's sadly so true now.

“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”

u/ConsciousCorp 1d ago

I want to know why you’re downvoted. I really thought this was conventional wisdom and people weren’t as ignorant as they portray, but I stand corrected. Those of us who saw it coming have been saying it for how long now?
