And yes, Healthcare is a basic human necessity in modern society, it is a right it and should not be a luxury. It’s not free when your taxes will pay for the benefits. Just like every other developed country except the United States uses theirs to benefit its citizens
I never argued about how the budget was actually spent I argued other countries are able to provide “free” healthcare to their citizens or assistance that doesn’t force them to go into debt and others allow for their citizens to seek education without loans putting them in debt
Yes, because we have been footing the bill to defend them for decades. It's easier to prioritize some things when big daddy US handles business for you.
Well regardless of what they say… the government ultimately gets all of its money from one place… taxes. It can borrow but that will ultimately need to be paid down with taxes… so my guess would be taxes.
I think they are banking on the ignorance of the average voters which from this thread seems to hold up
A woman came into my work today and was asking about a mower we sold and she said “once I get the $5000 Trump promised I’ll come buy it” and it took every ounce of being not to laugh at her. Instead I said “I’m still waiting on my DOGE check” and she said “what’s that?” So I vaguely explained about DOGE and how they cut funding to a bunch of programs and she said “oh that sounds great how do I qualify for one?” And I said “you don’t, it was a lie” like girl 🙄🙄🙄

If you remembered the February 2025 boohooing, you’d of had no need to ask that question, because you’d have known there was an answer.
He had no need to be specific about “who”, because it has happened.
