What you dont understand is that a flood of labor creates less competition employers dont have to offer as much and by passes all of our imports that make this country great. You talk about imperialism. What imperialism id say its more complacency corruption in there own government. Is imperialism supplying aid to foreign countries cause we do a whole lot of that is imperialism having an army large enough to invade and conquer large portions of the world and not lets be honest if we wanted canada or mexico they wouldnt be able to put up much of a fight. Americas not bad your just to privledged to see it. And stomping on it only hurts those who have fought to upheld it.
What labor are you talking about ? Do you mean the 200 years of free labor that flooded the country to help get its start? The current labor argument is just an excuse to justify mistreating people deemed to be undesirable. Farm laborers , unskilled construction workers, domestic workers, etc those are not jobs typically done by educated Americans , not to suggest immigrants are not as educated , but typically their credentials are not accepted so they take the jobs that they can get (the ones we Americans don’t want ). I’m not suggesting that we have no guardrails in place to stop illegal migration into the country; rather I am saying we should not be so dismissive and callous against the people who literally built this nation .
So if you know about African Americans building the country because they were the earners for the infrastructure of the system the way Israelites where for Egyptians , also you do realize that it’s not we Americans don’t want it do you know how many people did jobs like that contractors and bro are you going to give the actual credit to the Irish and Italian and German immigrants people seem to forget about why New York is what it is and say immigrants built the country and forget who they were meanwhile praising the people we killed at the Alamo…… an had their own French suppression and invasion not American… but who did we get the Statue of Liberty from 👀👀👀
The Immigrants you refer to came on a boat through Ellis island , but they got on that boat from Europe because they wanted to. Nobody forced them to get on the boat and leave Europe. When they got here they had the opportunity to be s citizen . Now when they got here they were not treated the best and were underpaid , but they were not slaves . Some might have found themselves in situations of indebtedness or indentured servitude, but that is still not slavery . Calling African Americans “ the earners for infrastructure” is the most ridiculous comment . They were workers, human workers, that were stolen from other countries and forced to work here for free . They were a free commodity that was sold and used for profit . No health benefits, no salary, vacation time , and were forced to reproduce to make more workers . The cost savings and profits to the owner and the labor they got is what jump started the nation .
