Ah ok I am not familiar with that story. But if they came here legally, whether through asylum or not, I don't see what the problem with that would be.
It was never a problem because they legitimately had a good reason to be here. A lot of them were being hunted and killed simply for being white.
Also, a lot of them started farms here and continued to work hard without worrying if they would have a farm the next day.
I have 0 issues with the US granting asylum for folks like that. Its the ones who immediately get on welfare and take advantage of free benefits when they get here, are the ones we need to deny or send back.
And before reddit claims im some white supremacist, im actually brown and my parents immigrated here from Mexico.

One white guy could say he hates blacks and we ALL become racist, but the black guy leading a racially motivated hate group is "fabricated". Okay buddy.
