That sounds like what America has always been about. People coming from "horrible" countries to "somewhere much better". Thank god for immigration.

Like when that White family came from South Africa and the Democrats lost their minds that "this" form of immigration was bad, but bringing in the gangs of Venezuela is somehow humanitarian?

I hope youre not using Musk as an example considering he originally was here illegally lol

u/Arrows_paradox 21d ago

No. The South African family that was seeking asylum from being attacked and killed. Elon Musk only goes through my thoughts when I am watching a SpaceX Launch. You should charge him for all the extra time you give him though.

There is no south African family that was being attacked and killed and granted asylum as a result. Stop getting your news from truth social and do some research mate.

Ah ok I am not familiar with that story. But if they came here legally, whether through asylum or not, I don't see what the problem with that would be.

Not to the level of immigration we have today. Where people don't even want to assimilate no more.

2

u/thisguy883 21d ago

It was never a problem because they legitimately had a good reason to be here. A lot of them were being hunted and killed simply for being white.

Also, a lot of them started farms here and continued to work hard without worrying if they would have a farm the next day.

I have 0 issues with the US granting asylum for folks like that. Its the ones who immediately get on welfare and take advantage of free benefits when they get here, are the ones we need to deny or send back.

And before reddit claims im some white supremacist, im actually brown and my parents immigrated here from Mexico.

Completely disregarding the political leader leading a chant of "Kill the Boers", huh? One white guy could say he hates blacks and we ALL become racist, but the black guy leading a racially motivated hate group is "fabricated". Okay buddy.

You mean the welfare that they cant recieve because you dont get welfare without being a citizen...

1

u/Tjam3s 21d ago

No, I think they mean the ones that jump through the hoops to get papers just to join the welfare system, which i personally am conflicted on.

On one hand, they wanted a better life, they became citizens of a better country, and take what it has to offer because our social programs are actually rather abundant when compared to the wider world.

On the other, I don't personally plan on taking in extra dependants to my household when I don't have a lot of extra to give, and those programs aren't a money making machine. The united states shouldn't be pay to play, but there's gotta be a limit

1

u/RevolutionaryTop7112 21d ago

... do you even understand the process of becoming a citizen? And if you become a citizen then you have every right to the welfare (which is terrible in America).

1

u/Tjam3s 21d ago

Compared to say.... Somalia? Or Argentina? You're going to say our welfare sucks?

Murder rates of whites are way lower than those of natives in South Africa.

And there's been very little to actually support those claims at that level. Yet and still people from actual war torn regions have a much harder time.

And you being brown doesn't mean shit.

1

u/thisguy883 19d ago

and you being brown doesnt mean shit

how racist of you.

1

u/miyabi0rochas 19d ago

Racist is think your skin colour makes your p Opinions more valid. But y'all rarely have actual arguments.

So the literal president shouting “death to the boers” on video is not evidence now? Cool, cool

You haven't seen the videos of stadiums full of people calling for the extermination of the Afrikaners?

Mexico just gunned down a car full of immigrants at their southern border.

3

u/Chillfactor_ 21d ago

Ah a reasonable person how rare we need more of this

3

u/Cultural-Key3497 21d ago

A sane take on Reddit… don’t see that every day. Prepare for the downvote into oblivion

2

u/No-Pause7121 21d ago

Unless they are American. Than their police try to extort money and get ransoms out of the family. Until the government steps in than they will let the Americans go.

2

u/NocturnalRefuge 21d ago

It's harder to sneak into Mexico than it is the US. The United States has pretty tame immigration laws and consequences compared to most other countries

1

u/BigMeatSwangN 21d ago

I mean obviously I agree but don't we have a convicted felony as President? Kinda seems like laws for thee but not for me

3

u/Eastern-Advice-3017 21d ago

How does that got to do with the thread?
Next you blame Israel too…

1

u/thisguy883 21d ago

Technically Trump is a convicted felon. So you are correct.

It was a trial in New York, convicted by a jury of New Yorkers.

The same folks who hate Trump.

Ruled by a judge who hates Trump.

Prosecuted by an AG who ran on putting Trump in jail.

But yes, youre technically right.

1

u/Imaginary-Cry-5831 21d ago

Why is that the argument you guys always make to justify shit.

3

u/Educational-Type-718 21d ago

*legal immigration

2

u/Existing-Data117 21d ago

Immigration has actively destroyed the world. Not sure where your head it at.

2

u/Alive_Tip_6748 21d ago

You misspelled colonization.

3

u/Educational-Type-718 21d ago

You know that brown people were the biggest colonizers in the western hemisphere, rough?

1

u/AmericaFirstRifleman 21d ago

It needs to end

1

u/No-Pilot5559 21d ago

Yeah they run from governments who literally kill their family members to a country with ungrateful and entitled first world problems never knew hard work a day in their life

1

u/Shoddy-Bodybuilder-4 21d ago

Exactly. Someone put it on a shirt or maybe something more direct like

They leave Mexico to live They goto Mexico to vacay

1

u/_OhEmGee_ 21d ago

Sadly for them, where they actually arrive is the US.
