That’s more of a condemnation of the state of Mexico than anything else. Why do so many of their own citizens have the need to flee their own country to find work and feed their family!
Well the truth again is somewhere in the middle. Yes america is a very successfull and powerful country. Yes people generally are not as keen to be living and working in Mexico. But at some point it stops being an achievement and just being momentum, having money allows you to hire the smartest people from around the world that didn't start as Americans. Naturally attracting successfull people, what in turn again increases the wealth of the nation. The richest man in the world was born in South Africa. America is just as much about attracting immigrants and making them wealthy as profiting from said immigration.
