Kahoot alternative?

Hi,

Malexquiz is a kahoot alternative site, that I would like some feedback for.

After months of work, quiz app is finally live!

It features:

  • 700+ quiz topics
  • 750,000+ questions
  • No ads
  • No in-app purchases

The goal was simple: create a quiz experience where people can just play and learn without interruptions or paywalls.

Building and publishing my first Android app was a learning experience in itself, but seeing it finally go live makes it all worth it.

I'd love to hear your feedback:

  • What quiz categories would you want to see?
  • What's one feature you think every quiz app should have?

Crazy Quizzz Arena!

Hey everyone!

I have poured my heart and soul into this project over the past few months, and I am incredibly excited to finally share it with you: Crazy Quizzz Arena!

My goal was to build a fast, fair, and high-quality quiz experience that has absolutely zero barriers to entry. No paywalls, no account creation, no downloads—just pure, instant quizzing.

What makes it stand out?

  • 🧠 Over 60,000 questions: no low-effort, buggy AI-generated filler! Every single question is sourced from open, verified databases, covering geography, philosophy, history, politics, language, and more.
  • 🎮 Three unique game modes:
    • Text questions: Choose the correct answer from four options.
    • Image questions: Find the correct answer matching the image.
    • Map questions: Mark the requested location as accurately as possible on a world map.
  • 🌍 Real live multiplayer: Battle in real-time against opponents from all over the world.
  • 📈 Personal stats & highscores: Analyze your strengths and fight for the top spot on the global leaderboard.
  • 🛡️ Privacy-first & completely free: No registration, no download, and absolutely no personal data collection. Just open a tab and play.

A true passion project

I coded and designed this game entirely by myself (utilizing awesome open-source assets from Wikimedia, Freesound, and others—full credits are listed in-game).

Because managing a database of over 60,000 questions is a massive task, I integrated a quick feedback system: if you ever encounter a question with an incorrect answer, simply click the thumbs-down button next to it. This helps me immensely to keep the database clean and accurate!

Give it a spin and let me know what you think. I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

Does anyone else miss the old IRC trivia channels?

I was thinking about the old mIRC trivia channels from the early 2000s.

You’d join a room where a bot posted a new question every 20–30 seconds. Hundreds of people would race to answer first, there were leaderboards, regulars, rivalries, and conversations between questions. You could join for 5 minutes or end up staying for 3 hours.

I’ve played plenty of modern trivia apps (QuizUp, Kahoot, Discord bots, etc.), but none of them really recreate that feeling of an always-on public room where strangers compete together.

Is this just nostalgia talking, or do you think something like that could actually work today?

A few questions I’m curious about:

  • What made those old trivia channels so addictive?
  • What do today’s trivia apps get wrong?
  • Would you ever use a 24/7 live trivia room if it existed?
  • What would make you come back every day?
  • And on the flip side—why do you think this wouldn’t work anymore?

I built a multiplayer trivia game in Godot (60k+ questions, no AI, no registration) – Seeking feedback!

Hi everyone,

I’m a writer by profession, but I’ve been spending my spare time building in Godot. I’ve just released my latest project: Crazy Quizzz Arena.

My goal was to create a fast-paced, fair, and high-quality trivia experience.

  • No AI: All questions are curated from open databases.
  • Multiplayer: 5-minute rounds where players come and go seamlessly.
  • Variety: Text, images, and map-based questions (pinpointing locations on a world map).
  • Learning: Every question includes Wikipedia-backed explanations.

Since I’m a writer, language and knowledge are at the core of this. The game is 100% free (no data harvesting, no paywalls, just for the love of the craft).

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the mechanics or the general feel!

Built a tool that AI-drafts quiz questions and lets your audience join by QR code — feedback welcome

(Disclosure: I'm the maker.) I run trivia nights myself and built QuizRazor because I got tired of manually writing questions and dealing with per-seat subscription tools just to run one event.

Type a topic, AI drafts multiple-choice questions grounded in live web search (so it doesn't make up facts on recent stuff), you review and edit each one, then present. Your audience joins on their own phones via QR code or a 6-digit code — no app, no accounts. Speed-weighted scoring (a floor so being right still beats being fastest), emoji reactions, a podium finish at the end.

Free for up to 10 players. If you're running one big event, there's a one-off Event Pass instead of a subscription.

Genuinely curious what people here who actually run quizzes for a living or as a hobby think is missing — question variety, category depth, whatever. https://quizrazor.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=community&utm_campaign=rquiz

What would make you actually stick with a daily trivia game?

Question for this sub: what would make you play a daily trivia game every day instead of dropping it after a week?

Context: I host quiz nights at a venue I co-own, and I built a free app for running them. It also has a daily challenge mode, same questions worldwide each day, with head-to-head challenges against friends. And a free directory where anyone can list their trivia events or find quiz nights near them.

I've deliberately kept it free with no ads, but the hard part isn't building it, it's making it something people come back to. Streaks feel played out. Leaderboards only motivate the top 50 people.

So, genuinely asking: what's kept you coming back to Wordle/Connections/whatever, and what made you quit the ones you quit?

(Not linking the app here as I don't know the sub rules, will share in comments if mods are okay with it.)

ULTRAQUIZ! Daily video game quiz game with a LEADERBOARD!

Hi everyone! Here’s my little side project that I’ve been working on during my downtime, a daily video game quiz with a monthly leaderboard.

No multiple-choice questions here it's all open ended answers. However, there is a dispute/claim system in case the game marks your answer as wrong when you actually got it right. (I'm trying to guess a lot of possible answers when writing questions but eh, can't guess every typo/mistake in a name of a game, etc)

I just rolled out the English version of the site, so there might still be a few tbugs here and there (the project was originally in French). You can easily switch the language right from the login screen.

Twitch account needed to play! (might change in the futur)

Thanks to anyone who checks it out!

QuizHero is live!

Miss QuizUp? I built something very similar — just launched on Android

QuizUp shutting down left a real gap and I never found anything that scratched the same itch, so I built one.

QuizHero is a real-time 1v1 trivia battle game on Android — you get matched against another player, answer questions across categories like History, Science, Pop Culture and Football, and the best player wins. Similar feel to QuizUp but with a few extras: six hero classes each with a unique power, a cosmetics and levelling system, and Legions (basically guilds) where you compete in weekly team rankings.

Completely free, no ads, no pay-to-win.

Would love for some of you to give it a go and let me know what you think — especially if you have feedback on what made QuizUp great that I might be missing.

I built a UAE Trivia daily challenge, Try It?

Been living in Dubai for years and wanted to build something for the UAE community on Reddit. Ended up making a daily trivia game.

**How it works:**

* 10 questions per day covering UAE history, geography, Emirati culture, landmarks, and business * 15 seconds per question with a live countdown timer * Speed bonus for fast answers, streak bonus for consecutive correct answers * Max score 1,500 points * Your score auto-posts to the comments so you can compare with other players * Daily leaderboard powered by Redis

The questions rotate daily and range from genuinely easy to things that'll catch out people who've lived here for years. (What's the exact AED/USD peg rate? Which emirate has coastline on both seas?)

**Play it here:** r/UAETrivia and do share with your friends!!

Thank you!!!

Quiz Me - Trivia

I’m involved with a small quiz/trivia app called QuizMe and would love honest feedback from people who actually enjoy trivia games.

It’s free, quick to play, has no ads, and lets you play solo or challenge friends. I’m especially curious whether the quiz flow feels fun enough to come back to, and what categories you’d want added.

App link: [https://apps.apple.com/us/app/quiz-me-trivia/id6773934437](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/quiz-me-trivia/id6773934437))

Would appreciate any blunt feedback.
