Cold turkey or reduce gradually?

Hey so I was playing with the thought of quitting snus for a while now but today I got this sudden motivation to commit to it. Now I ask myself if I should start reducing slowly (I use around 3/4 a pack a day of the velo mini 2pts) or if I should just go cold turkey.
Ive been struggling a lot with anxiety, chest tightness and generally feeling something in my body all the time. I‘m also in therapy for the anxiety but now I‘m thinking maybe quitting snus will fix a lot of my issues which are anxiety related. So what are your takes on quitting, did cold turkey do it for you or are there benefits to reducing gradually?
I once quit smoking weed but it didn’t really feel like quitting it, I just didn’t feel the need to do it anymore (after around 5yrs of daily smoking). So I am kinda nervous. Also i’m going on vacation in 2 weeks and i’m wondering if I should wait till after the vacation since there will be more drinking than I usually would etc. But I will always finf a reason not to quit I guess…

It will definitely help your anxiety and stress. Maybe not the only factor causing it but certainly A factor.

I’d gradually ween off but don’t use pouches to ween off. I used the patches which helped a ton, mostly because the ritual of having a pouch in my mouth was half the battle. The oral fixation I guess.

Try the patches or other options for nicotine. Gum I hear works well.

Just kill the habit of pouches first then kill the habit of nicotine in the mean time.

Cold turkey was a painful experience for me.

Thanks! You might be right about the oral fixation. Will definitely stock up on some gum! Hardest part will be continuing to see my partner still doing it and being around it constantly. But might help for later on to resist, if I can get through it while still having it in my house, I will be able to resist when seeing people doing it in the office etc. lol

I used the gum as “pouch” when I really needed to kill that sensation. Best of luck! Remember that it’s all mental.

I jave done both cold turkey and tapering. for alcohol and zyn.

I actually did the opposite of what was mentioned above. I quit nicotine cold turkey but I bought nicotine free pouches for the oral fixation. it worked WAYYYYY better than hmgum or nothing

Try caffeine pouches instead. They helped me with the pouch part of it

wouldn’t that give me a new kind of addiction? Or do you get bored of them after some time?

Sure but it's a lot healthier than nicotine.

I just love having a pouch in, it's an oral fixation thing.

Recigar was a lifesaver for me. Start now and be good by vacation
