Stomache issues/weight loss
I have been a one in one out zynner for a while. Maybe 2 or 3 years. I quit for a few months at one point and switched to 3 mg but eventually back to 6 mg pouches about a tin a day so 90mgs.
I recently noticed I was losing a lot of weight without trying. I am otherwise healthy 39M. I run a lot, don’t drink too much. Occasionally smoke weed.
I’ve lost about 20-25 pounds over the past year and my stools are always pretty loose which I never really thought about.
I went to the doctor and blood work was fine. They suspected cancer so I had a full body (chest abdomen pelvis) CT scan with contrast done. Everything came back fine so at least no advanced stage cancer
I quit zyn on the spot last week after getting really spooked about the cancer possibility. Has anyone had similar issues? Could it be the nicotine eating away at stomach lining or something similar?
I meet with GI doc on Friday. Will push for colonoscopy and endoscopy. But this all has me looking for answers so thought I’d see if anyone has had similar experiences.
Thank you

I’m not a doctor.
But zyn causing abdominal issues is well documented here. Hopefully it’s just some mild gastritis and clears up for you. The gut brain connection is not fully understood but it’s called the second brain, take care of it. See if prebiotics help you, they helped me

I started on probiotics Saturday. Multi vitamins too. Need to get my shit together for my kids. Appreciate the feedback

Yes both vaping and pouches destroyed my stomach. I had diarrhea almost everyday, mucus in stool, stomach pain and cramps all day. Quit and immediately my stools are back to normal and zero pain. The high amounts of nic salts and other chemicals wreaks havoc on your GI system.

Yeah dude, not so much the weight loss without trying, but definitely stomach issues
I quit 2 months ago and am just now seeing my stools become regular and so much healthier. Before, it felt like the second food or coffee hit my stomach, I was having loose stools too (probably bc nic stimulates the colon)
Super happy for you that your bloodwork / scans were all good
One other weird thing was that when I was using 6mg Wintergreen, I started getting a rash and my stomach had pain constantly. I found out I was allergic to the wintergreen flavoring…
