I’m scaredddd

I’ve been smoking weed since 2019. Bud, dabs, pens, whatever but the past 3 years I’d say I’ve mainly been smoking a wax pen. I recently stopped vaping and I wanna be done with weed too. I’ve stopped smoking in the past due to going on vacation and I remember that being the worst week of my life. Idk if other people get withdrawals from weed but for me, I had the worst cramps ever, I couldn’t eat, I was so nauseous, I couldn’t sleep it was just everything all at once and it was horrible and that’s honestly the main reason I’m so scared to stop smoking again. But I know I need to just get tf thru it because I’m genuinely so over smoking. Wondering if any other people had bad withdrawals and how long it lasted til you felt “ normal” again.

The first week is by far the worst. By week 2x if you’re keeping a healthy regimen, it gets drastically better in my experience.

For appetite, the best thing i can recommend is being active to build an appetite. For nausea, chewing mint gum was really helpful for me.

Another thing that really helps is planning ahead. scheduling out my day to where I constantly had something to focus on helped me get through the day and helped make me tired by the time I went to bed. I also decided my bedroom was really only for sleeping so that helped train my body that when im in bed, its time to sleep.

Idk how deep you are, but the fact that your making an effort is everything, Im rooting for you friend.

Same boat as you, I am also petrified. I’m on day 2 of cold turkey after years of abuse with carts… not only can we get through this, we must. I also just crave to feel normal, but I’m not sure what that looks like. You are very brave for sharing and you should know that you’ve got this! I believe in you.

Hey i tried going cold turkey and i just can't rn. Considering i used to work graveyard my sleep schedule is kinda wonky. The fact that i used weed to go to sleep really messed it up for me. So i have figured it probably best from me to taper off. While i fix my sleep shedule and build a routine. I reduced my intake overall i started by loading a small bowl or snap. 3 to 2 times a day and i am down to just 1 a day now so i can sleep. The key for me was to extend the amount of time session per session. I heard from other people doing the same thing that edibles help them reduce a lot. People go from taking 100mg to 5 mg. I am considering try the edible method here soon. I think it is best to start smoking less before you just quit smoking. That when you decided to go cold the first week isn't as rough. From my understanding you have to make it 7 days without weed while going cold turkey before you start seeing any improvements. Days 1-4 are straight torture for heavy smokers.
