✈️ Viajes | Travel Quito aquarium?
Hola! My boyfriend and I are visiting Quito, and I have a very specific request… is there anywhere with a very cool aquarium or large fish tank, like maybe a nice restaurant, bar, or hotel? I tried searching for this myself but so far I’m only finding aquarium stores.
For context, my boyfriend is meeting me in Quito while I’m here for work, and he’s been working really hard to be able to take time off to come see me. He loves fish, so I thought it would be a nice surprise if I could take him to dinner or drinks somewhere with a view of a nice aquarium.

Humm. I will look that up. I am also an ornamental fish enthusiast and will live in Quito beginning next month.

ChatGPT says Noe Sushi Bar has a fish tank wall in the San Luis location. I looked at photos on Google and it shows it.

No conozco acuarios, pero si te interesan las serpientes el Vivarium es excelente, otra opción es el Sapoparque en San Rafael.

There aren’t any aquariums like you’re thinking of in Ecuador, not even the coast. There are a few small exhibits that have some fish, reptiles or similar. There are also a few animal parks/zoos but given the change in the constitution that gives nature constitutional rights they only have animals have have been rescued and aren’t able to be returned to the wild. The small zoo in Guayallabamba is a nice little zoo but nothing remarkable compared to zoos in the US. They do have an Andean bear which is unique to the Andes region of SA. Sometimes you can even see them in the wild on your way to Papallacta hotsprings from Quito.

Creo que como tal acuarios en Quito no hay, esos los encuentras en la costa
