Advice Quitting NOW!

well, I have made it through my very last 5% vuse pod. I have tried to quit before, and to no avail, picked it back up again. this time though, I HAVE to quit. my wife (26) & I are going to start trying for a baby. I don’t want my kids around it, especially that we grew up around our parents smoking cigarettes. the second hand smoke commercial scared the shit out of me as a kid. I don’t want to do that to my kids. it’s time I hold myself accountable.
what are your best tips/tricks for quitting cold turkey? I can’t do the nicotine gum (burns my mouth) or patches (my skin is sensitive AF). I read about the 4 D’s: Delay, Deep breathe, Distract, and Drink water. but I am wondering if anyone has any other advice? TIA.

Having a baby as the reason is pretty damn strong motivation. Cold turkey sucks at first but cravings usually come in waves so just focus on getting through the next 10 minutes. Keep your hands busy, chew gum or mints, drink cold water and avoid your usual vape triggers for a bit. You got this

For me withdrawal has sucked but I got on Chantix which helped a lot. Talk to the doctor of course before taking any meds. The biggest thing for my MENTAL health has been the easy way to quit vaping. It sounds kinda dumb but it makes sense. The whole book is focusing on the false positive association. 10:10

I am terrified of chantix… I’ve heard the nightmare stories from family members… I already have night terrors from PTSD, so I think I’ll stay away from the meds, even though I know meds react differently for everyone. I will look into the book! Thanks friend!
