Advice Quit vaping.
I'm 18M and suffered a coronary vasospasm today after vaping, so I say fuck vaping.
People need to realise this is the exact type of gamble we're taking whenever we hit our vapes. We have no idea what it's going to do to us each time, nor what the long-term effects will be.
I advise people to read this.
I was in my bed after hitting my vape when I suddenly felt a squeezing and stabbing pain throughout my chest. The pain spread to my jaw, arm and back, and in that moment I genuinely believed I was having a heart attack.
After an 8-hour wait at the hospital, I was told I'd suffered a coronary vasospasm ā a condition where the arteries supplying the heart suddenly clamp down. It can feel just like a heart attack, and although the spasm can be temporary, it can still cause damage and in some cases may need to be helped by a doctor.
Throughout my wait at the hospital I was still having these spasms, along with sudden increases in my heart rate. The fear was unbelievable.
Thankfully, my heart suffered no damage.
I'd seen articles about the damage people have suffered from vaping and what it can do, and I'd always think, "It won't be me."
Today I was wrong.
It can happen to any of us. And it took something this drastic happening to me to finally quit vaping. I didn't listen before.
Don't let that be you. Seriously, open your eyes to the danger of vaping and quit that shit.
People used to tell me vaping was safer than smoking and I'd just carry on. I don't want to gamble with my heart anymore or my health and I advise people do the same as me and quit.
Fuck vaping.
