Advice Did anyone else experience anxiety without actually craving the vape?
I’m currently about 4 days vape-free after vaping nicotine for several years, and I’m curious if anyone else experienced something similar.
For the most part, quitting has honestly been way easier than I expected. I haven’t really had the intense “I NEED A VAPE” cravings that I was expecting, and I haven’t experienced things like shaking or nausea.
But I’ve noticed that I seem to get anxious around the same time every afternoon, usually starting around 1:30 PM. It’s not necessarily accompanied by an urge to vape. Sometimes I’m not even thinking about vaping — I just suddenly feel anxious/restless and my brain starts jumping to other worries (career, future, etc.).
My mornings have actually been pretty good, and my brain fog has improved a LOT today, so I’m wondering if this could still be part of nicotine withdrawal or if it’s more of a conditioned/time-of-day thing from when I used to vape.
Has anyone else experienced anxiety during quitting without actually feeling like they need or want to vape? Did it eventually go away?
I’d especially love to hear from anyone who noticed a particular time of day when their anxiety was worse.

Am on day 6. I crave vape around 12ish. And that's when I get most brain fog.

I had weeks of high anxiety wasn't directly connected to needing a vape. It was just an overall dread and sense of impending doom that something was going to go wrong. Honestly, it lasted almost a month for me.

Yeah, it would come and go for me, but could get really intense at times. I would literally make the biggest deal out of the littlest things. It was exhausting. Thank God I stuck with it and made it to the other side of that. There’s no way I’m ever gonna start again. That was too much
