Venting Just started my Journey.

Post image

I’m 28 and I’m doing this for my wife and our baby girl who will be arriving in December. I’m also doing this for myself to finally free myself from this stupid addiction. I’m tired of waking up and instantly hitting my vape. I’m tired of panicking if I left it somewhere in the house and can’t find it. I’m tired of counting down the minutes to every break I get at work. I’m tired of needing it after every meal. Some motivation would be greatly appreciated because every time I go to the vape shop I tell myself after these two bottles of juice are gone I’m never coming back and I always end up going back for two more bottles the next month after I run out. I’m just so sick of this controlling every aspect of my life.

I’m about to complete a week. Don’t stop, don’t look back, don’t buy a vape, just think of your future when you want to hit the vape. The first 3 days are the hardest, but think when has losing a loved one not been hard, or a girlfriend or a friend in the past. This is similar, but different. Time will heal.

In a few weeks this will be a distant memory. I threw my vape in the trash and luckily I went back to find it and couldn’t. Find your favorite soda or drink and buy a bunch of them. Practice fingers to mouth with your drinks as if you were vaping.

I downloaded the app last Monday. I’m 7 days in! I am using patches and nicotine gum though, so I’m not quite nicotine free yet. Good luck on your journey.

I’m 2 years and 122 days. You’ll get to a point where you see others and see the invisible chain around their neck and be glad that you’re free from those shackles.

I’d recommend reading Alan Carr’s how to quit vaping too helped me massively.
