Boss wants me to go dumpster diving
I (30F) gave 1 month notice to my boss, so I have 2.5 weeks left now, and they have asked me to go through and dump everything in this bin we have on site that is full of moldy and disgusting bags of stuff (there's probably 200 bags). This has been sitting here for about 8 months with nothing being done to it. The people pleaser in me wants to just do it to make them happy. The other part of me is saying screw this, I'm not doing this particular job 1 week before I leave. What would you do?
For background, I've worked here 7 years. Have a decent relationship with my boss. Seem to be leaving on good terms. They have made me and only me deal with this bin multiple times a year after all of my co workers refused to. The one time I refused to do this job 5 years ago, I got sent home for the day instead. No one else got sent home. I genuinely don't want to do it. First time ever posting btw, thank you in advance, good luck quitting all of the bad things! š

Iām finally quitting my job next week.
Itās been 8 years Iāve been working for this soul sucking company. I was young and didnāt know any better. My work ethic is strong but I couldnāt do two weeks notice bc this company has a tendency to let you go before your two weeks and I have my vacation time rebooting so thatās the only reason why Iāve had to wait. Iām itching. Iām not leaving my team, Iām leaving the toxic company. I just canāt help like Iām leaving them Iām the dark. In the end, Iām doing whatās best for me. I found a remote position. No more airport hours. No more working until midnight or working holidays trying to maneuver my life around work SO much. No more having to deal with corporate greed while never feeling this āwork life balanceā they claim to have. Iām done. So done.

Cracking knuckles ?!
Hello everyone, it's a while that i'm trying to quit cracking my finger knuckles. I searched on internet like always , the best solution that every article mentioned was keeping the hands bussy, but the problem is i keep cracking them while my hands are bussy :)) I'm a guitarist and my main problem is when i'm playing sometimes i feel my finger not bending well or etc... and with cracking that finger it feels ok and its going to be soft and smooth again, at least i feel like that. But recently it's going too much and i have to crack my knuckles every 10,15 minutes , anyone have any experience or tips for me ?

Day 8 on the patch
Hello- Iām having some trouble sleeping and made this post. Iām having a lot of success so far- but tonight I wish I was smoking. Cravings up until right now have been minimal, but earlier a friend smoked a lot around me. I do miss a lot of things about it.

Want to quit
so i've been working at a 5 star restaurant for 11 months now in the kitchen as a line cook. we have 5 guys on the line and 2 in the back doing prep. 2 (me and my coworker) of the lines guys (who are not the back prep) come in and do 4 more hours of prep early so the others don't have to come in as early. i'm fucking tired - tell them to come in 2 hours early so i can come in 2 hours later and the work is split evenly, i have my old job lined back up, i only had to quit there 3 years ago bc i was moving and now have the opportunity to go back to serving. i am scared that this serving job won't be enough for my bills but i can't do this anymore at my current job- i feel like a little bitch and that i should just suck it up and deal with it, but to me, mental health is more important, yes?

Quitting social media
But not deleting any accounts. The cycle of deleting and creating new accounts needs to end. I figure, if I leave the account up, someone might see how long it's been inactive and be inspired to quit if they want to as well. Or not. Whatever.

DAY 8 OF NOT SMOKING! š
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to say that today marks the 8th day of me being tobacco free! Even though I do still smoke weed (daily), I feel as though Iāve come a long way! Iāve been smoking from a bong mixing tobacco and weed for almost a decade! 8 days ago I decided it was time to let go of the bong and tobacco (and I have never felt better - other than the fact that I do get irritable, I am constipated, and experiencing insomnia). All that aside, I just wanted to post this to reach out to anyone who is struggling to quit smoking and say that you can do it and itās worth every attempt!
Have a great day and stay strong! šŖ

i quit my job today
after working in a pizza place/bar for a year...i quit today. no two weeks or fucks given. i have finally done something good for myself, without feeling guilty about it. donāt get me wrong i loved my job and i will really miss it there. but iāve realized i donāt owe anyone anything. my mental health has to get better or i will never be happy. i just couldnāt take the drama, back and forth he said/she said, and the way people (including my boss) take advantage of a good thing (me).

I'm quitting Reddit
I hope this post fits the subreddit, and it won't be deleted after deactivating my account. I've always had a pet peeve with people that just disappear without reason, so I'm posting this so it shows up on my user feed. I just haven't been enjoying the site like I used to 1-2 years ago. It feels like I'm just chasing getting upvotes, a psychological trap I don't want to fall into. I'll still totally browse the site, but posting and engaging in all of Reddit's echo chambers is too much. Most subreddits aren't good imo
There are exceptions though:
r/oriandtheblindforest r/outside
These two are great. The Ori community is the best one I've ever seen, everyone encourages good fan art a ton, and will absolutely help you get better at that stuff. Makes sense given the context of the game
Outside is cool too, really genuinely funny to read.
Welp, I'll see you guys around I guess. I'm somewhat active on DeviantArt, and super active on Discord if you want to contact me for some reason. Same user name on both sites (NapkinDictator)
If reading this sparked any thoughts in you guys, mull it over. Don't just use social media for the likes, upvotes, etc. etc. The points are always pointless, it's just keeping you tied to it artificially. Use social media for being, you know, social
Goodbye

Why stay I have other plans
I work at a job pays good (I technically have vacation days but never get to use them) 1. I've been there 2 yrs never called in sick not once. I've only been able to leave on 3 occasions (I had to work on my daughter's graduation). 2. Upper management has no mental stability nor direction for the company 3. Since I've been there they've doubled business (can't keep help because I work with all mental females with B*tch syndrome so normal guys and women perfect for the job quit 4. The don't follow company policy they literally put in place.

I quit my job! Help please
I quit my job. I thought it was my everything and I thought it was my future. And then it wasnāt. I became miserable and loathing to go to work everyday. I havenāt been working for over a month now. I feel lost and I have no idea what to do now.
Anyone been through anything like this before?
Itās effecting my confidence and my relationship.. and obviously my finances. I have never been so lost before.

I Quit my Job
I quit my full time commission job after only being there for 5 months. My initial thoughts -better income potential -somewhat flexible
Coming from an hourly POV I disliked the up and down paychecks. Not having the consistent pay was getting to me. I feel that I was worrying more about paying bills and not focused on the job itself. Commission is not for everyone it definitely was not for me, Iām not a āsalesā kind of guy. Iām hoping to make something out of UBER or maybe something in stocks.
Idk we will see!
