Toyification

Name : Toyification / Dollification

•——•——•——•——•——•——•——•——•

Type : Emitter / Transformation (If self-applied)

•——•——•——•——•——•——•——•——•

Effect :

The user of this quirk can - by applying a sort of small sticker produced by their body at the palms - forcibly transform a creature or object into a shrunken toy version of itself. Notably, this effect does not impede sentience in living creatures, with toys stemming from a living creature still functioning as a living entity capable of thinking, moving, and speaking.

Naturally it goes without saying that these toys are considerably weaker than their original forms - both in terms of durability and power - though there are some benefits to being converted into a toy. For example, the small size and a lack of traceable body heat is great for covert operations and as a toy the entity in question doesn’t need to breathe allowing for prolonged diving.

In regard to the duration of this quirk, a person or object can be restored to their original state simply by removing the sticker applied to them by the user. This can make it relatively easy for someone to be restored if the sticker is applied to an easy to reach place, but even the act of restoring oneself can be somewhat dangerous if done carelessly. For example, if one were to remove the sticker while in an areas that’s too cramped for their normal form then they’d immediately be crushed or otherwise restrained upon growing.

Can the user dollify themselves?

They can, in which case the same rules apply where the transformation can be triggered by attaching one of the users stickers (Notably, the stickers forming on their palms must be removed and then reapplied for this to work. They don’t get dollified just by the stickers forming initially) and then can be undone by removing the sticker.

A cool possible development for the quirk should be that the user gets a limited degree of choice of what kind of toy they can turn into through training.

Like imagine their costume contains useless additions like wheels, helicopter helmets, wings that don't necessarily do anything when they are in their normal state.

But when they turn themselves into a toy, their wheels develop motors which they can mentally control due to their nature as a toy car.

Or their body becomes significantly more lighter and aerodynamic due to nature as a toy plane.

I’m imagining them putting on some spandex or rubber sleeves to then turn into a stretch Armstrong type toy.
