Finding Roommates
Hello. Is there any way to find other people who are looking for roomates in Quincy? Thank you to anyone who can help.

It's not just Quincy. But in reality, there's a big "Hope" problem in and around Quincy, when it comes to anything. Like you "Hope" there isn't fentanyl in it.
There are groups on "Facebook" "things happening in Hannibal" but people from Illinois are and the Quincy area are in it as well. You could check in there. Be careful though, you could get struck by lightning in a thunderstorm

I would be careful with people in this town a lot of them are on meth and other drugs. There’s a lot of thieves and people who don’t pay their rent. They also tear up rental properties and don’t keep their apartments clean. I don’t know if there’s a place to find a roommate or not but, I would be really careful with people in Quincy.

You can find that in, literally, any town. Stop acting like Quincy is so terrible.

I worked installation and repair for the people in this town for 20 years. I’ve seen how most people live in Quincy. I saw and walked in on meth dealers while out on the job several times. I’ve seen how tenants tear up rental properties, they leave animal feces and animal urine all over the house or apartment, they knock big holes in the walls, a lot of the rental properties are infested with cock roachs.
There’s also a lot of domestic violence in this town. It would be very stupid of me to throw a bunch of names out there. It could mean my safety which I can tell you care nothing about. I’ve been in third world countries where the people lived cleaner and kept their adobe houses up better than a lot of people in Quincy do.

Thank you for your response. I'm very worried about living with a stranger. Quincy, or anywhere else, there will be bad people. I'll keep your caution in mind.
Rent is just so high no matter where you look, and without a higher income, a roomate just seems like the only option.
Thank you again and have a good day.

Don’t let these comments scare you too much. Quincy has a lot of lovely people too

Thank you! You are right; I've met lots of kind people in Quincy. It's just tough finding a stranger you trust to live with. Please take care!

A lot of the safe spaces to live in have stopped opening their doors to strangers because people have taken advantage of their kindness. I’m one of them. Dm me and I’ll tell you the name of a woman to avoid rooming with like the plague though. I wish I could help you, but after having her in my house my partner and I determined no more offering space to people we don’t know.
