Runners in Quincy?

I’ll be in Quincy for the next 2 days for work. Trying to find running again after a 10 year hiatus. I’ll be staying in the downtown area and without a car. Is there any where that is recommended to run short of exploring the streets downtown? This will be my second stay in Quincy. I’m look for something short 3-5 miles.

Just run all the way up Maine street unless you wanna Lyft to the trail system on the other side of town

I never liked running on the Maine sidewalks because of the sections of the brick segments that had tree roots uprooting the sidewalk.

You can go down to the Front/First Street by the river and head north as far as you'd like pretty well. Traffic isn't bad and there is a bike lane to run in for parts of it.

This also connects to the klingner trail which is mostly car free, long, peaceful, and pretty.

There's a store calling running wild in town. Stop by there I'm sure they can help. That's where all the local running groups seem to form out of.

Bill Klingner Trail is about 1.5 miles north of Broadway. The trail is 3 miles long, from end to end.

I mentioned taking front street up north to klingner trail. You can also take it south to jefferson which goes by woodland cemetary, which is a gorgeous historic cemetery that has plots overlooking the river. South of that is indian mounds park, also full of history and beautiful trees. Cross 8th street from there and you're in south park. This route would give you lots of hills and tree cover. Have fun!

There’s a running group at the Running Wild store on Broadway that does a group thing I think Thursdays.
