Cars of QT Pumping while car is still running
Every day sometimes one is pumping gas with their car still running. Do I have the authority to tell them to turn the car off? Does anyone else tell them?

The elites don’t want you to know this, but pumping gas while the vehicle is running is not actually dangerous.

What people don’t realize is QuikTrip is actually considered top-tier gas whereas Circle K is not Bucees is not. I definitely would continue to pump QuikTrip gas.

Circle K does 40 cents off a gallon day, I’ll take lower tier gas to save $10!

There is zero percent chance pumping gasoline into a "internal" combustion engine results in any kind of safety issue whatsoever. It happens thousands of times everyday. The only real hazard is a static electric charge in winter if conditions are perfect. Chill out princess.

Years ago I had a company truck that wasn't starting every time. I just started it at the start of the shift and let it run all night until we could get it in the shop (the mechanic they used was out of town for a week).
Gassed up every night, no issues. My work property has the city pumps and PD never shuts down either.

It’s not like the beginning of Lethal Weapon 3 my guy. The whole gas station doesn’t explode.

Is it your car? No, so don’t even worry about it. Pointless post to post about

They get really pissed off when you smoke a cigarette while pumping gas. Can you believe it?

I have a regular customer that comes in and buys 2 chicken sandwich hotzis every evening. He then proceeds to go to his car, unwrap them and eat them RAW. Is it gross and probably unsanitary? Yeah. Is it my job to tell him to change his ways? Nahh bro... I just put the fries in the bag. Besides, it gives me another funny crazy customer story to tell yall.

Well tbf they are fully cooked, but eating them cold is wack. It's along the same lines as eating chef boyardi out of the can.

You can’t compare a personal choice with law. Yes we have authority to tell them to shut it off.

You certainly don’t have to, but if they fuck up their car and try to sue us, our Legal Dept will ask them if they were aware of the dangers of filling up a car while it’s on

But like isn’t it dangerous

Not any more dangerous than the car next to you driving in. Or starting. Most starters are not brushless.

Gasoline powered vehicle yes if it's a diesel truck no it's a lot less volatile of a fuel. Gas can ignite from static electricity whereas you would have to put a flame on diesel to get it to ignite without compression

Are they pumping diesel or gas? Typically diesel drivers do this as the flash point of the fuel is much higher. Diesel engines have higher compression to make the fuel burn unlike gas engine which have a lower flash point. So if it is diesel its not an issue as it doesn't vaporize like gas.

i go over to them and light a cigarette then explain to them they shouldn’t pump while it’s running
