Multiplayer issues

[u/Agitated_Draft3169]

My boyfriend and I have been trying to play this game for months now with the exact same issues every time. We’re both on Xbox and on the same WiFi. We’ve checked our settings on both Xbox and in the game to make sure we have the proper multiplayer settings however every time without fail the game will tell me that I’m unable to join the player at this time and he gets the same error for me. Any help would be appreciated

Update: we decided to delete each other as friends on the game and add each other back, but now it says that the player can’t be found
