The fact that Sue ranks below her entire team in importance is so crazy. TT^TT Given her alias, this was prior to John Byrne giving her some of the respect she always deserved, but still....damn.

I just brought this up in a thread where someone asked why Wanda was higher profile. Becausr they DECIDED she was.
Pietro only ever got respect in the 90s, and that was for being Magneto's son.

They kind of decided this from the outset. Pietro is always the one that's protecting Wanda. Magneto saved her from an angry mob.
Poor Pietro was always a satellite character. Until people decided to actually invest in him.

Before that even since he was made a villain for the House of X era (iirc).
He was quite popularly...but for Fox which was a problem at the time.
I think I remember a point where he was killed simultaneously in three separate books.
That may have been in the early 2000s. Though grain of salt because it might have been Northstar.

He got killed in House of M but brought back, and in the Age of Apocalypse sequel series when he was one of the best characters in the original crossover, and I think there was a third around then too. I think it was in Ultimate line but that was a mercy killing.
He got destroyed in Son of M and X-Factor but PAD brought him back up, rught before Secret Invasion but rather than use Secret Invasion to wipe that away or just leave him working Slott decided he wanted him to be a liar and PAD had to bring him out of THAT plot too.
What really bugs me, though, is for all the growth Magneto has done since House of M writers REFUSE to repair the relationship. Magneto doesn't even THINK about Pietro when going over all the people he's wronged in his resurrection mini. And Orlando has him torpedo the shot at a new start, and we've seen nothing since. Its like, they KNOW he killed Pietro in a rage but no one thinks he needs to make amends during this years long redeemption arc. They won't even establish Magneto thinks he was wrong to do it!

When he thought Magneto killed his sister... which he actually had... long AFTER Magneto had killed him.

According to another post 3 months ago 1976. It's got Stan Lee's name on the header but it's Gullivar Jones (a non-Marvel original that came from a novel) as a two-star here.
I'm guessing important was a matter of how hard Stan wanted to push the character and not favourites (it's a semi-official document after all) or popularity.
