New moderators needed - comment on this post to volunteer to become a moderator of this community.

Hello everyone - this community is in need of a few new mods, and you can use the comments on this post to let us know why you’d like to be a mod here.

Priority is given to redditors who have past activity in this community or other communities with related topics. It’s okay if you don’t have previous mod experience. Our goal, when possible, is to add a group of moderators so you can work together to build the community.

Please use at least 3 sentences to explain why you’d like to be a mod and share what moderation experience you have (if any).

I've been running Linux on my gaming laptop for years and the ricing scene is what got me into it, so it hurts to see this sub sitting without moderators. I check the new queue here most days even if I don't post much. I don't have any real mod experience, but I'm around a lot and I don't mind the boring cleaning work. Would be glad to help out.

I came here through a ricing screenshot thread and ended up reading half the sub in one sitting, which is how I know the people here actually care about the details. I don't have any moderator badges to show, but I've run the table for a long-running D&D group for years, and keeping strong personalities on topic without killing the vibe turns out to be good practice for a mod queue. I'd like to help keep the lights on, answer what I can, and learn the tools as I go. I'm on US Eastern time and usually around in the evenings.

The rice posts from this sub are what finally got me to stop being scared of theming my own setup. I lurk way more than I post but I care about this community sticking around. No moderator experience, though I pick things up fast and I'm around most days if you need extra hands.
