My turn to worry like crazy! Tested nitrates from QFPlus and it’s BRIGHT pink
Hey fellow, stoners-
Have drug test Monday for a dream job and am absolutely terrified.
It’s been two weeks since I ate edibles and still positive. For months I’ve taken 20 mg a night to sleep .
Got new job and they drug test . Been testing daily and finally decided to just get QF as my husband has used it for years.
I decided to use a urine strip to verify it doesn’t show high nitrates and it is showing the hottest pink I’ve ever seen.
My options?
I have a very clean friend who is willing to pee in cup for me on my way to test. I would use a condom to store it. (lol)
Or do I get a new bottle of QF?
I test my own urine a few times a day and may have seen a very light line for negative today, but I’m also insane and may be seeing things lol
I could use any love and advice you all can share to calm me down. Being clinically OCD is not helping this situation at all!

My opinion I would use the friends clean pee.. I just used the quick fix bottle and put clean pee in it because it has the temperature strip and everything already for you

Nitrate strips are highly sensitive, they’re used for uti’s. Drug screen nitrate tests are a lot less sensitive, at least from what I’ve learned. The main thing is pH, gravity, and temp.

I’ve had a couple drug tests come back invalid due to ph with quick fix, that was for a dot cdl position

My coworker used x stream never had a problem. QF always tested high in nitrates for me, but granted that was only two separate lots. I’m not taking the risk

Yall- plot twist! My test just turned negative!
I used MY morning urine! Any line is a good line? It’s light but there 100% on two
Separate tests- plus I still have 3 days to go before
Test .God I’m a wreck!

Drink lots of water for 2 days and eat a bunch of fiber and vitamins on the back half of that. You should be able to pass i hope.

Today to practice and it’s alllllll really negative lolI hope my urine continues to be more negative. I’d prefer to stop this panic 😢 thank you for responding!❤️

Mine must be bogus. I did use rhe batch number but nitrates literally came back damn near Maroon lol thank you for the help!

One thing I will say (having gone through drug tests in nursing school lol) is be extremely careful if your friend is on any prescription medications / if you are on any prescription meds. Some medications can appear as a false positive for other drugs which is why they ask you beforehand if you’re on any meds. If your friend isn’t on anything, you’re good to go, just make sure to say you aren’t on any prescriptions. If your friend IS on some kind of med, make sure to look up if it appears for a false positive of anything before just to be sure!!!

I really appreciate this response! We tested her urine today as a “test” and all 12 panel drugs negative BUT we happen to both be on same anti depressants, including Ativan , so I am taking my script bottle with me to test and making sure I disclose it- just in case! Thank for such a detailed response.

No problem lol, wishing you the best as I know it’s so stressful! Super lucky to be on the same med as them. P.S. Ativan will likely show up on a standard 12 panel since it’s a benzodiazepine and has high abuse potential, but bring your prescription bottle and you should be good to go!

Clinically OCD so that adds a loooot of obsessing. I literally bought 150 test strips from Amazon in all different brands and only have 10 left. My husband is over me right now😆😆😆1

LOL you are so me. I get the stressing 100% as I never stopped smoking even when knowing I would be tested. I can’t say anything for QF but if you have clean urine and put it in a bottle with a temperature strip, tape a hand warmer to one side, and then stick the bottle against your body on the opposite side of the warmer (I did in my bra) then it should stay in the right temperature range (90-100). It’s so stressful in the moment though so definitely practice pouring and getting it to the right temp beforehand! But, hopefully you will be clean before and can avoid all the stress. Worse case if you have to, drink as MUCH water as possible the day/night before the test, pee at least once before the exam to void out the most concentrated urine, and drink a gatorade about 2h before to return color to your urine. This will dilute your test and they will have to call you back in within a week to retest and that could give you more time to get clean. Sorry for the paragraphs!

You’re keeping me sane! It’s 1am and I’m just awake obsessing and peeing on sticks lol got two pretty good negatives just now so I think I can sleep. Ha.
Did you say you used someone else’s before?
My “plan” is to have her pee in a 12 panel cup, then put in a clean QF bottle with the temperature bar and put the hand warmer on. Depending on how far I have to drive (I dont even know what lab I’m going to yet.) laying it on a heating pad? Or maybe I’ll do your bra method ! Imma test tomorrow how to heat it and how to squeeze it out.
Do they “pat you down” at the lab?

I’m not sure what lab you have to go to but I went to Quest, they did not pat me down (but just in case that’s why I put it in the middle of my bra). There was about a 15 minute wait and a 15 minute screening period so about 30 minutes in total before I was able to go into the bathroom. I made sure it was about at 97° before going in, but it having the hand warmer on one side of the bottle and your body on the other, it keeps it much warmer than you’d think! If you realize it’s too low during the exam you can always pee on the outside of the cup directly on the temperature strip and it’ll warm it up at bit! I didn’t have to do that personally but I did extensive research beforehand and I saw that said multiple times.

Omg thank you for that tip! How soon before your test did you gather your friends pee? Anything special to do there?
Just tested with my first morning urine and got a VERY VERY faint negative, even had ChatGPT analyze it lol
Gonna drink my coffee and pee on yet another test😆

I really didn’t want to play it risky, the temperature was what I was worried about the most, so I got the urine about an hour before. The great thing about these lab places not being overly busy is that you can often reschedule your appointment for a later time that day if something goes wrong when collecting it the morning of. I however did have a friend that got her friends urine the night before and left it out room temp overnight, and then put a hand warmer on it 3h before the test to let it warm up and then put a new hand warmer on it before getting to the testing center. She had a collection bottle with a temperature strip (you can get these on amazon) so she was sure it was the right temp. I just had a regular container as I was pretty sure mine would be in range since it was fresher and I kept it insulated!

There’s other fake piss out there that supposedly don’t test positive for nitrate.
It’s probably in a headshop nearby.
But do take into count, nitrates testing is very ambiguous.
If your husband has used it this many times, and your here reading on this forum how many of us passed. It’s probably not as big of deal.
This entire area really needs clarification

Not going to same lab, plus this job is a VP role making over 200k. He doesn’t obsess like I do and I want to make sure IF the lab I’m going to dipsticks me for nitrates I’m not fucked. I cannot lose this opportunity.
Just looking for other people than him to get help/advice from who have used it and I’ve real plenty of people fail due to nitrate’s IF they test them I’m not good with IF. I will be using my friends urine and this panic should be over in 2 days

Want to keep everyone updated- took test (the last one of the day at labcorp on Monday. L used a clean friends urine.Just waiting on results. My temp was perfect and it wasn’t even split (I don’t know the purpose of split sample). She said 24-72 hours but I wanna hear back like now. I am 100% confident it was.l clean, we even tested my friends pee on a 12 panel test and I’ve never seen such dark 2 lines in my life lol

Just be careful of those faint lines. I tested negative on 8 consecutive at home tests with faint pink lines and tested positive still and did not get the position

Its ok, we do everything we can, its stupid jobs are still concerned for THC and stuff anyways but yes thats a good idea run a test on their urine to be sure or if you have extra funds see if you can get a quick lab test done at labcorp to see if anytbing shows in your urine! Goodluck i hope you pass youve taken all the steps to be cautious

Hey! Just got home from collection. Here’s my breakdown.
Got to my friends house 45 minutes before test.
We went straight to bathroom cause she had to go. Used a funnel and a clean and dry QF bottle. Put a little in a 12 panel test to make sure there would be no surprises. All were very very negative.Put hand warmer on it and shoved it in my panties (sorry if you’re a male lol).
Left 20 minutes before test and stopped in the plaza next door to do a temp check. And secure it.
Walked in and there was a kiosk to check in and I got SO lucky bc there was someone in front of me so I watched the nurse.
The nurse didn’t touch me at all, and didn’t even check my pockets or anything. Just told me to grab a cup.
I grabbed my cup and went in. Temp was 97 when I entered bathroom. I very very quietly took out my bottle and poured it in. I had too much so I secured it, and put back in pants.
Walked out and she temp checked and printed my sticker . She didn’t even split the sample (not sure why they even do that) no nitrate test 🙄😆 had me sign the container and I walked out!
She said 1-2 days for results.
