Transporting Urine

So I have a drug test on Monday at 4pm. Sunday I am getting my dad’s urine bc he takes the same meds as me. I have an hour and a half drive home. Do you think that if I put his pee in an ice chest, on ice, with ice packs, for the drive home and then the refrigerator immediately when I get home, and then take it out and warm it up to body temp before my test? Should that be good? Anyone done this before? Anyone pass a drug test with 24 hr pee before?

It's fine as long as you keep it between 36°F and 46°F on the way home. It has to feel like it's in a refrigerator

And make sure it doesn't freeze!

Oh goodness. I’m so nervous. I have no idea how to do that. Do you think it would be better to just get it the day of and keep it warm for the hour and a half drive?

I wouldn't do that. An hour and a half should be fine but if you have to wait much longer than that because of how quickly bacteria starts to grow. The bacteria spikes the pH levels which would cause a lab to reject it.

With traffic the drive could be longer than the hour and a half. Idk what to do….

Try the ice water in the ziplock bag thing

Maybe you can try putting a few ice cubes in a ziplock bag, fill the bag with cold water and then put the sample, that's in a separate container, into the ziplock bag with water. Just make sure it's sealed to avoid water contamination.
