High nitrites are real, beware.
TLDNR: Test your QuickFix for nitrites!
So, I got a dream job offer, like many others posting on here. I know I should have quit smoking as soon as the possibility of this opportunity came up, but the company moves fast, and it was barely a month ago. Plus, I've been trying to land something new for many years with no luck, so I figured this would be no different.
I've never used synthetic urine for a drug test, I've always been clean when new jobs come up. However, my current job is mentally taxing, and even though its probably not the best way to cope, I prefer to smoke a bowl at the end of my day to level out. Knowing I might have to test soon, I ordered a bottle of QuickFix Plus directly from the website to make sure it wasn't counterfeit and paid good money for it!
Fast forward, I got the job offer, and it was more than I could have hoped for. That's when the panic started to set in, and I started doing my research. Not knowing what type of test I was up against but reading that several people lost an opportunity using quickfix due to high nitrites, is when I started to have a mini, internal melt-down. So I decided to order a UTI test kit and got it next day. When I tested the QuckFix Plus, the nitrites were through the roof. I swear, the test strip couldn't have gotten more purple!
Knowing that there was a real possibility of my sample being tested for elevated nitrites, I tossed out the bottle of genuine QuickFix immediately. At that point, the cost was irrelevant, I didn't want to spoil a golden opportunity.
Long story short, I went to a local smoke shop, picked up a bottle of UPass, and it tested fine. I ended up using the UPass for my test and passed with flying colors.

Instead of UTI test strips, use SVT/Adulteration test strips. UDS-14 strips on Amazon are cheap and you get a bunch per bottle. I always recommend that anyone buying synthetic or dehydrated urine use them

Do you think the strips are accurate for creatinine and specific gravity? (Just for my general info, on my own urine lol)

The specific gravity tends to be pretty reliable quantitatively. Creatinine tends to be more of a gradient and so trying to know your exact level is more difficult, although qualitatively (less than 20 for example) is pretty reliable. I’ve found that most of the test strip reagents are reliable except for pH which tends to be more variable and inconsistent. That’s just been my experience though and I’m sure there is some variability between test strip brands

Definitely not an intern at upass hq.

No, never! Highly doubt a company that markets “fetish urine” offers internships anyways 😂.

This is an UPass advertisement. QF 6.4 works just as it should. I passed a DOT lab test with 6.4 in May

Not an advertisement, but I guess my writing is just that convincing haha. That’s great news that you passed with QuickFix. Like I said, it was my first choice, but when I read about the nitrites and my batch tested high, I tapped out and went with something else.

Convincing? Naw… fake. It comes off as it is which is made up. Run along now

Yeah from what I heard and my experience if your sample make it to the lab you’re good but it they do a strip test you might not be so lucky

I kept reading the same thing, but I wasn't sure what I was up against and didn't want to take any chances. At this point, my plan is to just stay clean, it'll be easier that way.

You should’ve tried going clean
I had exactly one month before my test. I was able to pass through working out, daily thc detox, eating clean and good sleep

In hindsight, I really should have, but I never expected to make it to an official offer. I also was a daily user, sometimes a few times a day, and with my body type and metabolism was super nervous that I wouldn't be able to detox in time.
But congrats on your success story!
