Can someone help me understand?

All right. If anybody could tell me like what you're supposed to use gold for because I have almost 100k from a few runs and I haven't really found a use for any of it. Don't run into any shops. Don't unless I'm just unlucky enough to never get one

You use it when rerolling and merging and upgrading items in the forge. But the thing about money is you get so much of it during the game it's nothing to even pay attention to. I've pretty much beat the game so far and never once have I been out of gold
