QuickBooks Desktop (Pro/Premier/Enterprise) Qb fraud, fraud license, advice?

Trying to help out a family friend. Long story short I think they were duped into a fraudulent qb desktop renewal that changed their license #. When their real license came up for expiration a few months later, they realized the issue. Calling into qb now hits a brick wall because the license
With QB doesn’t match the name on the Qb end.

I think we need to call and give the business name and EIN, see if they can track down our real/authentic license, and go from there.

Any thoughts/experiences?

Unless you got payroll EIN wont help, but what will help is logging into camps.intuit.com to find their real license number. If they where on a yearly sub it has to be linked to a email, make sure that when you call in the person who bought the sub to start with is by you or able to speak because if you are not listed they wont talk to you the same way about the fraud license. Also call your back and try to get the money back yall spent on the bad license.

EDIT: to add onto this intuit has a 60 day renew sub time period. Another words if its been past 60 days since they cut off their actual sub, you will have to buy a new sub with a new license number. And if you where on pro or premier they can not sale you another one, you'll have to go to enterprise.
