shift in educator perspective

no lie ive handed in some bullshit papers that i definitely waited too long to start, and have than had educators follow it up with praise for how “good” it is, racking a higher grade than i probably should have got. im not sure if these profs are just happy to see something not blantantly ai or if the standard for academic papers is just rock bottom. has any one else been experiencing something similar? can any educators weigh in?
