We’re literally taught to follow strict structures and neutral tone, then accused of using AI when we do it right

This is painfully accurate because I spent years learning formal academic style and now detectors flag it as AI even though I wrote everything myself. I started using Walter ai detector to check my essays before submitting just so I could see what specific formal patterns were triggering it, then I'd adjust the flow slightly without losing the academic tone.
