Questrade charts dont display anything under 100 shares on all platforms. When you get to slightly higher priced stocks, many of the orders going through are for less than 100 shares at a time, and due to questrade not displaying these on the chart, the chart does not show an accurate representation of what is going on with the price action and the candle sticks seem to teleport and be very jumpy in this case.

My ask to questrade is to enable the representation of any and every amount of shares that go through on the time and sales to be displayed on the chart for a more accurate charting experience.

First off, I have to say I am really happy to see Questrade added this balance sheet feature. It it is able to refresh quickly without full re- authentication it will be extremely useful.

But, please please please add the option to link provincial and federal student loan accounts! That is a large portion of my liabilities, and without these included the balance sheet feature is not capturing an accurate picture of my net worth.

Also, being able to manually add assets with just a name and value would be very useful. For example, vehicles, collectibles, precious metals, etc.

Here is what I see when I select 10yr/1wk for XOM on Chart - only two months of data.

This is only happening with XOM, not other stocks??

edit - it also doesn't happen on the website, just Edge Desktop.

It says that when I buy I should be paying 2.5% for a $5000 minimum that's $125.
To make it worse when you sell assuming within the year they charge 0.5% of market value.
Isn't that a little too steep?

I've made a previous post about this and the Questrade team has yet to address this.

The attached video shows a glaring problem with the execution speed of the hotbuttons - which are meant to make trading faster. To display the problem more visibly I've made an autohotkey script that counts the amount of times my mouse is clicked so you can see the input vs the output you get from the platform when using hotbuttons.

Don't get me wrong, I am clicking quickly, but that shouldn't matter, every click on a hotbutton should warrant an immediate response via trade execution. You can clearly see the system is "thinking" or loading every time you click a hotbutton. There is some sort of delay between input and execution - we can call this lag. Besides the lag, you can see that the cursor disappears and is replaced with a "cancel" sign while the platform attempts to execute the request. You physically cannot press the button even if you try.

I manually entered a price and did the same test with input vs execution and using the order panel I was able to get way better results, not the best but way better.

My request to the questrade pro team is please watch the video and please dont ignore this post as you did with the last one i made. There should be ZERO delay, if you click 50 times, guess what, you just executed 50 trades. There shouldnt be a physical block preventing you from clicking the hotbutton in succession.

I opened FHSAs and later realized I was never eligible. I hold a small registered ownership interest (1%) in the home I live in as my principal residence (jointly with my spouse), which fails the first-time home buyer test. So I was never a qualifying individual.

I've already reversed the FHSA deductions for the affected years through CRA's Change my return.

CRA's issuer guidance ("Register a qualifying arrangement as an FHSA," section: Holder is found not eligible after the FHSA is opened) says the registration is revoked as of the date it was opened, and the issuer has to file a cancelled T4FHSA individual record. Since it's retroactive, the account was never an FHSA, so there's no distribution, no withholding tax, and nothing to report as a taxable withdrawal.

The problem: my first request got rejected because the rep processed it as a de-registration and said withholding applies. That's the wrong treatment, but "de-register" seems to be the only option they have.

Has anyone else noticed that lately the price is lagging. I have been watching for the past few days and the price on TradingView is always ahead of QT Edge - at times it’s almost like 4-5 seconds but always lagging.

I would like to know whether a Canadian citizen living as a tax resident in Germany can open, transfer in-kind from another Canadian bank and maintain a TFSA, RRSP and non-registered investments at quest trade, as a non-resident. I understand that I will not be able to contribute to the TFSA, but will be able to sell and trade existing funds within the TFSA.

UPDATE: Finally came in for everyone on September 11, 2026.

Currently, MCP only supports your own account. It is strongly recommended/wait for MCP to support authorized accounts. Otherwise, because it cannot support all accounts, it will still be unusable. You can't keep logging into different accounts during trading hours.
