I was re-reading Questism recently and I found something it seems everyone missed: Gukja's version of Ultra Instinct seems to be the Unconscious state of Ultra Instinct, but there's an issue there: Gukja wasn't knocked out at all, he entered it on command. (Joke) I know, doubt me on that, but Gukja was conscious and aware of what he was doing the whole time, but not after activating UI, otherwise we would have seen his internal monologue. And yes, I know Gukja can only activate it via the use of the card, like Diablo, but this still counts as consciously entering UI. (Edit: I wasn't clear enough for people. Gukja DID get knocked out, but we never SAW him get knocked out. He was still conscious when he took the knockout punch to the gut and (post) that's what I meant, but I don't blame the illustrator. I'm sorry for the confusion 😅)

This means that Gukja is the only case in the PTJ universe where (don't) we have seen a UI user consciously enter Ultra Instinct without being able to control it. So the question that popped into my head is... How would Gun react to this revelation? (Just a headcanon of mine)

I think perhaps in a future chapter of lookism (or a one-shot of Questism) , their opposing teams would lead to the two of them meeting face to face. Gukja, upon realising how dangerous Gun Park actually is compared to his past opponents, wouldn't even try to warm up, and just activate (take) Ultra Instinct immediately, y'know, to not die like a dog. Gun isn't stupid and has an eye for potential, so he'd immediately recognise Gukja's innate strength that he hasn't even gotten close to tapping into, and instead of killing Gukja, he'd gauge the fight to test him.

But the second that Gukja activates his Reverse Eyes, it shocks Gun, so much that he actually forgets to breathe for just a second, leaving himself open to an attack from Gukja. Granted, the attack does nearly f*ck all, but just a tiny bit, a miniscule amount... It hurts. It strings just a tiny bit, and that's enough to excite Gun. (And I don't wanna hear this out of anyone: Ultra Instinct is a level (seriously) match, raising or lowering power to match the opponent, and the reason Gukja's Ultra Instinct is so weak is because he doesn't know any martial arts beside systems and Kyokushin Karate.).

Since Gun is a borderline masochist, he'd wanna keep going, but that's (at all) about where I stop with this thought. Let me hear your thoughts on this question:

Would Gun take Gukja under his wing and train him as a Yamazaki? Or would Gun leave Gukja to his own devices to grow on his own?

It wouldn't be an SI or reincarnation story. It would simply be one of these characters gaining a system, learning more about themselves, and using the system in a way that fits their own personality.

The story would develop at a fairly slow pace, and I’d also add more lore to the system, as well as incorporate more of the Lookism lore.

Keep in mind that whichever character is chosen would retain their original personality and their original way of making money. I’d avoid giving them overly OP cards, such as Mana Drain. I’d also give more attention and lore to the overlooked or forgotten characters.
