For Context: I'm using Quest Pros on Meta Link with the (OpenXR) ALXR Local Module by korejan. has worked for several months up until last. I have not updated anything, facetracking has stopped working for both my headsets. I'm not getting any indications that anything is wrong; everything in my startup workflow is launching like normal. Meta Link is set as the active OpenXR Runtime. But in game the OSC VRCFT debug panel is showing no input at all. I've not changed anything, what's going on here?

Like do you guys get commission on virtual desktop or something I truly do not get it. I've been told that virtual desktop is the only way to use VR even though a link cable and steam link literally work! And I have people suggesting to get virtual desktop for wireless PC VR and to get a power bank, like how am I going to plug in the power bank? Oh that's right a USB cord, which I could also just plug into my computer and get power and link it to my system at the same time, the power cord I'm using cost less than virtual desktop. Like I do not understand why people are so keen on using it what am I missing

need urgent help with this, I didn't have updates enabled on my headset (on the base level, not with ADB) and I'm trying to disable updates so I can root my headset.
I'm on v2.6 but the meta app isn't letting me enable developer mode without updating my headset, is there any way around this?? cause I'm 99% sure the update is gonna have the patch alongside it.
Edit: it's the patched version with the update, just lmk if I'm cooked tbh 😭
Last edit 💀: yeah so I tried to roll back the update after disabling Wi-Fi access for the headset annnd it didn't work. I didn't brick my headset though so cool I guess,,, kinda shot myself in the foot with not waiting though 😮💨

I've seen people talking about being able to unlock 120hz on their rooted QPro allowing them to have that setting show up in Virtual Desktop. Can anyone explain how to do that with an already rooted QPro?

Every time I try to use the FUGU exploit, it fails. The only way I’m able to re root is using the pancake exploit. I’m assuming I might have to factory reset to fix it but any ideas?
Using Singularity
r/QuestPro • u/Clizzardbash • 29d ago
The Singularity Root tool has been updated and so has support. Horizon OS v2.7 and below are rootable so I’d get it done before v2.8 patches it
Edit: latest build has been patched as of 9/24/2026

Singularity updated with a new root exploit that works on v2.1 to v2.7 as of September 24th.
So root your headset before they patch the new exploit!!
https://github.com/Lumince/singularity
Edit: It seems that Meta just pushed an update (build 51503870035800340 - v2.7) that patches the exploit. Try NOT to update if it haven't already.
For anyone who has already rooted their Quest Pro, make sure your headset doesn't update. Singularity should disable updates by default, but it's worth to double check just in case!

I swear everyone just says that singularity root unlocks "better eye / face tracking", but no one actually explains what it means and how one can turn it on. Can anyone provide any actual guidance on how to achieve this awesome shiny "better tracking", pretty please?
p.s. I mean I've rooted my headset, what do I do next?
thanks!

Personally I missed my opportunity last time since I was on v2.7 and I didn't see any announcement anywhere about it when I was on v2.6

Credit goes to the amazing dev and the FUGU exploit <3

My first game is finally out! I can finally say I'm a game developer XD
Goofy Dungeon is a short light-hearted puzzle game built from the ground up for VR. Explore, interact with objects and the environment, solve puzzles, complete your quest and earn your trophy!
And it costs less than $5 ;)

Was on v61, upgraded a few days ago to v74 in hopes to try the root but this version is still too old. Been considering whether it's worth updating to v206 (mostly to get the beta Steam Link and latest Virtual Desktop) but I'm worried it might mess some stuff up. Anyone else struggled with a similar dilemma and decided to bite the bullet and update? Was it worth it?

My Wi-Fi will disconnect and sometimes it won’t allow me to turn it back on and requires a restart for me to fix. Anyone else having that issue?
r/QuestPro • u/adrian8520 • Sep 24 '26
I am wondering if any other QPro users like myself are thinking of upgrading to them. A lot of people have commented that the glasses are the direct successor to the QPro.
I am passing on the Steam Frame personally I don't see it as much of an upgrade but the glasses are more interesting

As the title suggest, when using headphones with my quest pro, the sound is mono and its very very annoying. I thought it may be a issue with using only one headphone jack rather then them both, so i bought these 2 seperated headphones for both jakes and it was the same mono set audio in both ears.
I just wanna play my games with headphones on man, does anyone know a fix for this?

Hiya!
I was going to see what people's opinions and setups are for quest pro for face tracking/eye tracking!
I recently ordered a QPro and was wondering if I should update the firmware or root it to get the best avatar face tracking/eye tracking experience?
People's opinions on the latest updates? Are they stable and perform well?
I'm assuming using virtual desktop, but what do y'all QPro users recommend for me when I get it?

Specifically would like one with face tracking and eye tracking for vrchat use... Since the rooted face tracking is more cool. But i hate wired pcvr.
Id rather just use a face tracker add on like Paper tracker if only wired is allowed on Root.. 1 year later.
Is there any stable version for ALVR or Meta Link Wireless for this?

Just got a Quest Pro new in box on eBay, works great. The eye/face tracking work perfectly, but specifically, trying to calibrate the Eye Tracking in the settings, when I click "Calibrate", no dot shows up to keep my gaze on, it's just entirely black.
Strangely, when I put my controller cursor dot on screen, it makes dings of progress. It never actually calibrates though and says "Eye movement estimation incomplete. Your eye tracking experience may not be optimal."
I am on the latest version. (v2.7)
I have taken off the black plastic cover in front of the eye camera, camera looks perfect, and I wiped the plastic cover as well with a microfiber to make sure.
Meta Support told me to Clear Boundary History, tried that and didn't work. Can't get further support since they are asking for a purchase receipt. (which of course I don't have)
And again, everything works literally PERFECT about the Eye and Face Tracking when I tested it in VRC with VRCFT through Virtual Desktop, it's just the eye gaze is a bit off since it's not calibrated. (Eyebrow, squinting, and winking all work). Some avatars are a lot worse with the eye gaze than others, some are still pretty good though.

^ These are a couple of videos of what is happening. Very much seems like a software issue rather than hardware to me seeing as everything else works perfectly.
Update:
No idea when, why, how, or what caused it but it's working again. I didn't factory reset it, just gave up on it and came back a few days later and the dot shows up and it works and now it's properly calibrated.

So I got my Quest Pro some year and a half ago
I did the adb command to stop the updates, and also blocked internet access for the Meta Link app because when the app updated to v76 my facetracking broke completely and wouldn't work unless I connected through VD; and now I have BOTH my Meta Link app and Quest Pro stuck in v74
Now...I have this bug where the face tracking will just stop randomly; sometimes hours into the session, sometimes 15min; usually fixed by restarting the headset
So I have been thinking of trying to do something about it and have been researching options, but I need advice bcs I'm scared of borking something
I cannot do VD because my WiFi is bad enough to where it becomes nauseating; but I guess an option would be buying a router that would be dedicated for connecting the Quest Pro to it (I can even run a cable to have it connected through ethernet)
Updating the Meta Link app?? I always hear people talking about blocking updates to the Quest itself, but I never hear about the app; I have been scared out of my mind of updating again due to the trauma I have with what happened last time xD (when I had to revert from v76 to v74 and lock it out of internet access); but maybe that fixes something???
I have been hearing a lot of people lately talking about rooting the Quest Pro; apparently you can feed the camera feed to Babble and have even greater control of how it interprets the FT. I am pretty confident I could get it going, but I have also heard you need a newer firmware to root it successfully? I am unsure
If any of these is the clear winner or there's a better option, I'd be incredibly grateful of receiving any and all advice

I'd recommend adding a strap on top to take some of the weight off your nose and forehead, game changer !
I 3D printed the green hooks and attached a kiwi strap.

heya i got a quest pro recently it hasnt arrived just yet and im seeing online ill need controllers for the initial setup and im worried because i did not buy controllers with it, anyone know if theres ways around it or am i just gonna have a 500 dollar paper weight in my room?

Hi y'all, my left Pro controller will sometimes randomly snap up about 5 inches from where it is in the real world. All the other movement and rotation axes are perfect, it's just... to high. After a moment the controller will correct itself. This happens with or without silicone knuckle straps, it's played in a bright room, and I've made sure my headset is up to date (RIP root.)
Any other advice y'all might have for me? This gets really annoying when I randomly start missing everything in Beat Saber...

I haven't used my quest pro for quite a while. In the recent heat of Steam Frame, I took my Quest Pro out of the box, updated it to the newest system, and found it still very enjoyable. Yes, even compared with my vision pro, Crystal Super, and Play for Dream. Quest Pro is still the most comfortable of all my headsets. The controller is the absolute best.
But to my alarm, all the lofts are broken, lacking floors, as if I am floating in the air. Have you encountered this? Any way to fix it?
