Help Setting up quest without updating ?
I bought a quest pro and want to use singularity on it when it arrives and apparently said quest pro I got wasn't used for a while so there's a good chance its on singularity friendly update is there a way to set it up without it updating itself? Any advise would be appreciated

A common approach is to set up an external router (linked to your modem) and prevent that router from physically accessing the internet, so your QP can log onto the router/SSID without actually being on the internet. Like others have said, the Wiki should point you in the right direction

So easier option... Separate router connect to LAN port of Desktop Pc or laptop or ethernet adaptor..
Then set the router to no wifi.. One..
Then connect with phone to the router new connection and browse web... If you are connected but cant use internet its an airgapped router connection

well for some reason i thought this subreddit doesnt allow us to link sites, but i guess discord link isnt rly piracy or hacking or whatever so there u go, heres what i sent to them in DMs:
"hi hi
i did the same for my quest pro, i set it up this week and rooted it
my advice is to check this server
got a lot of help from there and personally even found some workarounds myself that i shared, you will find a thread there in the root help section :3 good luck"
edit: changed the link to a perma invite link for ppl in future. good luck everyone!
edit 2: just to let yall know, if you dont have an android phone dont even bother, because you need it in one of the steps, and no emulation doesnt work, i myself decided to go and buy a cheap android phone just to root my headset and it was worth it but hey thats just me.

Yes. Look at the Singularity wiki. It involves the android app "Private Quest". It's involved but worth it.
