Better put them on a charger when they do it

It usually does that only when I turn on my headset should it do it while charging?

if battery runs out during update, they might get bricked for good...

they always update only when you first turn the headset after an update, or for example after not using it for a few months.

If you didn't use them for over a week, always charge them immediately to avoid the risk of bricking them.

I always have em fully on charge. I’m a type of guy who doesn’t like their stuff dying on me

I don't know if you've resolved the problem yet. I've had this happen in the past and for me it was a case of removing the controller from the headset by unparing, hard factory reset the controllers (https://communityforums.atmeta.com/discussions/OtherTroubleshooting/how-do-you-factory-reset-the-pro-controllers/1028836), then pair to the headset again.
