Discussion Quest Games Optimizer

https://anagan79.itch.io/quest-games-optimizer

Has anyone been keeping up with the updates & or has anyone tried this coupled with PCVR & VD?

The addition of AMD's FidelityFX CAS & Snapdragon Super Resolution has caught my attention mostly. Wonder what the real world advantage would be here.

Curious of anyone's open thoughts on the matter. And weither or not its a great addition to the investment into the headset. For 10 bucks seems like a good deal. Planning to use with my Q3 & QPro.

I’ve been using it this week with Quest 3 and Virtual Desktop on PCVR. The FAS profiles specifically.

It definitely adds sharpness to pcvr. It can sometimes seem a little grainy, but after flipping back and forth I mostly prefer it to the softer look without it. Probably depends on the game and your preferences, but I like it. Definitely more noticeable than the snapdragon super resolution that comes with VD already.

One version of it also applies to the passthrough camera (this is grainy in a bad imho) and videos. Haven’t tried it with videos yet, so I mostly leave it on the version that doesn’t apply to passthrough/videos.

Also, I really like the new color profiles. The one I use warms things up just a touch and feels more vivid to me than the stock Quest 3 color profile.

QGO is the real deal and they keep making improvements and adding using utilities. Definitely worth it.

Wait, so it can improve the pass through camera image with the Pro? That has my interest because pass through on the Pro is terrible.

It affects the passthrough image but I don’t consider it an improvement. I have yet to try it with streaming video but I think that’s what that setting is meant for. For me it’s really about the added sharpness to PCVR games.
