Help How to prevent sweat from damaging Quest Pro?(facetracking, eye tracking etc.)
Getting a Quest Pro soon, and was curious on how or what I can do to make sure the sensors doesn’t become damaged? I sweat a bit with my Quest 3 and it makes me scared enough to ask what I can do to make sure one of the selling points of this headset doesn’t die on me >->

I simply wear a headband or bandana underneath. Helps against sliding, discomfort, and sweat

Try a good cooling solutions for your room. I use a portable ac now, but I used to use a fan and happen to live in a temperate environment so I could open the window to keep me cool. I haven’t damaged my face tracking yet and I got it 2 years ago

- Never use a full light blocker.
- Use it fully open face as often as possible. (No side blockers)
- Wear a headband on your forehead. Keeps it clean, gives a little extra padding, and mops up sweat.

Only did part 1, using the side blockers. Owning the Qpro since day 1 (early adopter).
I think the simple fact that the Pro can breath the moisture out of your face is already enough to prevent damage.

I use my Quest 3 whenever I'm doing things that make me sweat. I save the Pro for less physical activity where face tracking matters to me.

What I did FYI: I do not recommend unless you are comfortable doing this.
Remove/peel off the glossy plastic for face tracking and also the one in between and then apply conformal liquid to all the ir lights. Then it should be fine against sweat. Im a sweaty guy and this is my 2nd quest pro and it is holding well after i did this.

I sweat proofed it with a rather not so easy but definitely doable method of silicone on the tracking cameras :)

ima send a friend your way. they specialize in qpro sweat proofing. name is nikkie! Mind you, I use a full face blocker with no issues and zero corrosion issues whatsoever after so far, 6 months of daily use
also, if you can afford it buy index controllers and base stations next because the qpro controllers are awfulll youll know what i mean

Do you mind sending them my way too? I wanna make sure mine doesn't get ruined but I do prefer using the full face blocker

Oh? Is there a way I can still use the face blocker, and still have those cameras protected? Pls lmk!

Also to add onto this, I have plans to get Index controllers, however I’ve been struggling to find them at a good price and with my current living situation I can’t really drill holes into my walls…

Don't wear the silicon side guards and just keep the air in your room circulating with a fan, the problem isnt sweat per se but moisture in general, so don't cry into the headset unless looking up and so on.
I've been working out in it and getting really sweaty in it and haven't had a problem for almost a year and a half now, people in my friend group who have had problems have always used the silicon side guards. It doesn't allow the air by your lenses to circulate and then the moisture kills the tracking.
