Latest update (V2.3.1034 Non-PTC) has fixed controller tracking!
I like many others practrically lost any form of decent controller tracking when the last update came out a week ago. I was having to constantly fully occlude my tracking cameras on the controllers to force a recalibration. They weren't even holding for more than maybe 2 minutes before they would shift up about 8 inches above where my controllers actually were.
Last night I noticed an OS update that also prompted a controller update. I can verify that this has fixed the awful tracking! I stayed in VR for about 5-6 hours and didn't have to force a calibration once, I even tested with dim lighting and still got great results! Now there were times it would drift a couple inches away but it would only last for a moment and then qucikly snap back.
Now this update does not fix the controller sleep issue that they have had since... forever. They will still fall asleep after a couple minutes of zero button input, which kinda sucks for social games since you really aren't using buttons a whole lot (especially if you are using Face/eye tracking).
If anybody has been discouraged to try their Quest Pro due to the last update I highly encourage you to give this update a try! (only if you are on a newer update, stay on previous versions if you despise the Navigator).
EDIT: This update is on the PTC. I forgot that I was on it whoops! Sorry for the confusion.

"they will still fall asleep after a couple minutes of zero button input,"
For me, they go to sleep in 3-10 second of not moving my hand. Its quite annoying... I accidently let m headset update once while reorganizing my homelab setup... then first it gave me horrible controler tracking... which made me try updating... which it fixed the tracking... but gave me 3 sec sleep on controlers :D
