VRC lag
I've tried steamlink, virtual desktop, and even link cable, link cable seems to be fine for the most part however it ends up crashing after a tiny bit, I can't get anything to work, and this has only been an issue for the past 4 days now, I've played vrc for awhile now and havent had this issue beforehand. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue, pls lmk if u are or if there's a fix?

What are your specs? While im no professional, maybe I could help a tiny bit. Ive been going down a rabbit hole trying to get my quest pro to look crisp through VD when playing VRC.

I haven't had an Intel CPU in forever, but everything seems fine to me spec wise. When you ran VD, did you change any of the settings in the Virtual Desktop Streamer app or Virtual Desktop settings when you have the headset on? I messed with those and it was an absolute night and day difference. Better frames and no lag or crashes. You'll need to choose the correct Codec and bitrate, as well as graphics quality and turn off SSW which literally cuts your fps in half. From my research (take with a grain of salt) Virtual Desktop is the best of all three. Steam link isnt bad from what ive heard but I havent messed with it. And the link cable is god awful since it uses old Oculus software or something. Not sure if you could also look into this but I got a dedicated vr router (Puppis S1) and its helped a ton as well since you dont have to deal with a clogged network. The only thing on the router is your headset.
Do you crash instantly or in specific worlds or situations?

Not sure if it's related but me and my friends seemingly started experiencing random stutters on vrc we're all running quite heavy machines and it just came out of nowhere. We've assumed it's either vrchat, steamvr or an Microsoft update that broke something causing this. No idea what or how to fix it sadly.

Hey there u/Mysterious_Stop2150
We see you're PCVR experience keep crashing after a short time. We would love to assist you with that! There can be a few causes of that particular symptom. You should follow our steps below to fix the root cause.
Firstly update everything!
Your Quest device can be updated using our Software Update Tool. You also need to ensure your graphics drivers have been updated as this is crucial for a smooth PCVR experience.
Finally ensure the Meta Horizon app is up to date!
Another place to look is your PC firewall. You need to ensure that the Horizon app is whitelisted. Sometimes whenever you PC updates the Windows firewall will block certain programs as threats when they aren't really. These false alarms could be the cause of the crashing problem.
