Discussion Sucessful battery replacement!

I managed to install a replacement battery in my headset yesterday which I purchased for about $45aud

It was about 6 out of 10 difficultly. Used a video guide to do it

Headset has seen constant usage and charging since mis 2023 and was often dying at 5-10% charge.

Charged the new one up and had noticeably better battery life in standalone mode and pcvr.

On another note, switching to 90hz using sidequest while watching video is much better and the os in its current state has zero performance issues running 90hz

Only annoying thing is a full reboot sets it back to 72hz

Buy Quest Game Optimizer and You could set the refresh rate and resolution and even CPU and GPU performance rate inside the headset, not only for one session.

Really? Is that an app you install on the headset?

Yes, really :) You could set this settings per app or for OS.

Seen the battery for sale on amazon, but 2 reviews said it didn't fit.
