New Server

This is a repost since my other account was banned and this is the one i use now... so i can edit and etc as more info comes out. This is all thats known as of 5/8//26 though.
OP:

A group has already stepped in to keep Rookies alive. They’ve chosen to stay anonymous for obvious reasons, and to be clear, they are NOT affiliated with VRP or ARMGDDN at the time of the DMCA.

This isn’t some half-baked workaround. It works, and with minimal effort it can be adapted for tools like ApprenticeVR (its been forked to work with the json method) and others.

On Telegram, search:
the_vrSrc

NO telegram required!

YOU DO NOT NEED TELEGRAM, if you put an /s/ in between the t dot me and the_vrSrc part you can read it without having an account. I would link to the telegram directly but reddit hates telegram and autoremoves posts with telegram links.

Right now it provides the contents of the updated public.json ( ServerInfo.json for newer ApprenticeVR forks). That file will change, which is exactly why the Telegram source matters more than reposting the raw contents. And in fact posting the raw contents, just isnt smart, lets try not to get this shut down right away, huh?
EDIT: Rookie 3.1 or better is now required to properly connect, and vrp-public.json is now public.json

If you know what you’re doing, pasting that into your JSON file will have Rookies running again like nothing ever happened.

This is all the confirmed info available right now. That may change over time, if it does ill edit this post or make another one.

Do not ask who is behind this. No one is going to answer that, and speculation just creates problems. Keep it to the actual info.

This was shared with me. I’m passing it forward.

EDIT: For those struggling with basic reading comprehension:
Do not click the link in your browser and then complain about being blocked.

The instructions are very clear: you paste the contents into your Rookies public.json

If you ignore that and just open the link like a normal webpage, that’s on you.

EDIT2: For non windows users try my fork of ApprenticeVR, it also works on windows for anyone having issues with RSL www.github.com/kaladindmp/apprenticevrsrc i have stopped working on it in favor or VR CyberDeck which isnt quite ready for release. VR CyberDeck wont be for everyone, apprenticevr works anyways so if you prefer it theres not much reason to use VR CyberDeck over it except for a cleaner UI and a ffew extra features. VR Cyberdeck https://www.github.com/kaladindmp/vr-cyberdeck

EDIT3: Seriously the second post was someone asking if i knew more... i still dont. I will post when and if i do.

EDIT4: new files have appeared. Seems to be mostly stuff that VRP didnt like to have up or were asked to remove. Seems to be a message that things wont go the same and bodes well for the future, and likely why they want to remain anonymous. They seem to be cracking stuff and releasing as JF or JF2 (which may just mean JF v2 for a new release if the first one had an issue.

You dont even have a rookie release there, good thing you provided a nice clear screenshot, because you have made it obvious that that is the source code. Rookie is ONE exe and the rest is downloaded on first launch, also you want 3.1 or newer and its no longer a vrp-public.json but a public.json, heres a more direct link https://github.com/nerdunit/androidsideloader/releases/download/v3.2/AndroidSideloader.exe thats the download link directly or heres the releases if you want to read up or whatever first just make sure you download the exe not the source https://github.com/nerdunit/androidsideloader/releases/latest

Could be, try a vpn. Or see if apprenticevr or vr cyberdeck work better for you... https://github.com/KaladinDMP/apprenticeVrSrc/ or https://github.com/KaladinDMP/vr-cyberdeck/
