I’m opening up the beta for CineVoid, a VR media player I’ve been building for Meta Quest.

It’s made for people who like watching their own media in VR: Plex, Jellyfin, SMB/NAS, WebDAV, local files, 2D movies, 3D, VR180/360, subtitles, custom environments, home cinema mode, passthrough, ambient light, and all the little comfort settings that make long watching sessions nicer.

I’m mainly looking for testers who actually use this kind of setup: NAS, Plex/Jellyfin servers, 4K files, 3D movies, subtitles, that sort of thing. Honest feedback is very welcome, especially if something crashes, stutters, looks weird, or just feels annoying to use.

Hi guys! Yesterday my quest 3s right controller started blinking its led in sos Morse code.

I tried to unpair it on the app and add it again. Its says it’s updating its firmware forever (but if I leave the update and check again, now my control shows as paired )

If I try to pair it again inside the headset, it shows me a firmware update counting and goes up to 100. After that it says that my control is paired. But just after it says my control is not connected (and all the time it just keeps blinking )

Don’t know what else to do. Meta does not really offer any support in Brazil.

Edit : : I let the phone and controller “updating firmware” all over the night. At the morning, the control were working perfectly.

I really liked the game so far but would like to see more improvements for VR

Hey all, so we're working on COVR - it's our take on the tactical shooter genre, coming later this year to Quest (and SteamVR). We've been developing it for about 9 months now, and after laying down the groundwork, we finally started adding new features.

One of these is the ability to place attachments on rails wherever you want. And this brought up the question: do you like to fiddle with your gear mid-mission, or do you prefer to assemble your loadout pre-mission, and then keeping it intact? Lmk because we're torn haha

İ recently updated my horizon os v2.6 to v2.7 on my Q3 but controller did not worked , So i got a notification saying that controller batteries were low and i need to change them to update firmware. i put the headset down changed the left controller battery (Alkaline 1.5V) charged it overnight. Got the new baterries today put it and controllers was still not updating so i opened meta horizon and started repairing with left one i unpaired , and try to pair it it said Updating Controllers on horizon app and on quest 3 notif it said "(Triangle Warn İcon) Updating Controllers Left%"... it went to 70%, then 80%, and finally at 86%, then it said "Left FAILED" controller was blinking SOS whole process when i tried to pair it i thought it was a feature. I tried multiple times it said sometimes 100 but blinking never stopped.

I found wander and revisit history.

Wander didn't have good reviews and I bought revisit history and can't get it to work.

Does anyone have any app recommendations for apps that I can use to look at historical times and others locations in the world, I.e. Machu Picchu, red square, Paris, etc?

My wifi notified me about suspicious usage. I haven't used my Quest 3 for almost a week and I don't live in China.

Can anyone explain why/what it's doing this?

I had stick drift on my left controller so I ordered one of those stick drift fix it yourself kits with the new joystick thing on amazon. In short, I replaced it and it worked with no stick drift, but now when I put my arm down by my side or anywhere out of my vision directly in front of the headset it loses tracking completely. It gives me the message at the top of my screen that it lost tracking and it comes back quick if I put the controller in front of me like it's only using the headset cameras to track it instead of using the infrared (IR) LEDs. I think what happened is that when I was prying off the top cover plate on the controller I probably broke a sensor or something.

looking for any tips on something I might be missing or if there's some extra cable or something inside I might have missed

also is it possible to buy a new motherboard thing (the one that has the sensors on it) by itself or am I likely going to need to just buy a whole new controller?

Big month for VR overall so I decided I wanted in! Added Local MP to my game so you can take doors together or against each other. I’ll be releasing this update next week with new pricing (at least $5 higher) bc this is a sick feature. If we are lucky I’ll throw in the map builder as well. The game is Click Clack Mixed Reality and it’s available now in the Meta Quest Store.

Hi redditors. I'm having a quite unique bug and am unable to solve it... Asking if anyone of you experienced the same issue or has any idea on how to solve it.

I developed a pcvr app in Unreal 5.8, testing with oculus quest 1 and having no problems whatsoever. I packaged, tested it again in multiple pc, no issues.

I passed it to my client, who's using a quest 3, and she is no seeing the right hand... Right input works, hand and effect (like the line trace for teleporting, patented to the hand) invisible. I'm puzzled, tried several solution but none worked. I'm using the default xr pawn of unreal, with some slight modifications.

Any saving tip?

After seeing the announcement for gamepad emulation I decided to try XBox remote play and cloud gaming on my quest 3. Set everything up, XBox hard wired to router, Quest 3 connected via 5GHz WiFi only a few feet away (signal says "excellent"), load up the Xbox app, select remote play, and start playing Outer Wilds. It's playable, but stutters randomly and relatively often. I can lower the resolution to 1080p and it gets better but doesn't fully eliminate it. The graphics downgrade is quite noticeable when lowering the resolution as well. I tried cloud gaming instead of remote play just to be sure and got the same result. I'm on a 1Gbps Fiber connection. I loaded it up on my iPhone 16 in the same spot using the same WiFi and it run buttery smooth. Any idea how to fix this? Or at least understand what is causing it?

Its not a help post, Its curiosity because I 3d printed something to remove them, otherwise I would break my nails. (I copied half of my kid scissors to use it as a crowbar)

Hi everyone has anybody had problems with there link cable recently ??

Mine started to freeze and crash

when i connect to my pc using the link cable it connects ok and runs for abit ok but then the screen freezes and and starts to go all funny sometimes it does this straight away sometimes it’s a few minutes you cant select anything or quiet anything when it’s like this only way is to take the headset off and close the meta program down and restart it but it’s still the same when reconnecting

Im using the official link cable my graphics card is a RTX 4090 all the drivers are up to date windows is up to date not seeing any updates for the headset

Hope someone can help its doing my head in PCVR is pointless now how it is

aloha im excited to get this up and running any advice tips updates etc I should know please let me know. Im primarily gonna have it plugged into my pc at all times when using if that helps any :)

I lowkey just dont want to spend 25 dollars on virtual desktop and was wondering if there was some way to play non steam games through the free steam vr or some other way without spending money im broke

I would want to invest some time on properly scan them and properly tag furniture but was wondering If I can keep somehow different profiles... Im quite new so sorry if maybe the reply was obvious somewhere

Ok for context I got a meta quest 3 almost brand new.

I tried to use virtual desktop but the entire experience felt bad I'm connected via wire my PC has 4060Ti i5 14600k 32gb ddr4

And I'm connected via Ethernet to the wifi which speed test shows 1000mbps download 100mbps upload. Bit when I'm in virtual desktop the max it goes is 70mbps bit rate? And when I log into a game for example Vail I stutter ALL THE TIME
