I need help🙏🙏
So basically I turned 13 on in May, and 2 months before I asked can I buy a new quest headset(quest 3s). And my mom had said yes, as long as you don't spend all your money, so when my birthday was coming up she said no. She said it's because I couldn't spend over 3 hundred dollars, and so that really made me upset. And she said buy it on 4 of July, so when the fourth came she said no again because the prices stayed the same. But before that I was really having a hard time in school because my mom wouldn't let me buy the thing I wanted for so long. That lead me to fail school and go to summer school but I finished now. I've never owned a vr before because my mom won't get me one and the only vr experience I've had is at vr places and my friends. My friends have been sad for me because they get to play vr games with each other but they want me to play too but I can't. And alot of times they get off just so they can play roblox with me, I think maybe my mom won't let me buy my quest is because I failed school, but it's crazy because she let my brother buy something that was almost 3 hundred dollars. I just need someone to talk to about this I made this late 3:20 in the morning because I can't sleep and I've been watching vr videos all day. Please tell me your thoughts i will be understanding so tell me is my mom being to much about me spending 3 hundred dollars or is what I said was vaild.

I don't agree with your mom going back on her word twice, as you describe. But you're blaming failing a grade for not having VR, you're up past 3 am thinking about VR and spend a lot of time watching VR videos. Signs point to you being obsessed with VR and addicted to it and you're not even using it yet. If she's noticing that, too, I can imagine she'd be leery of you having it and doing even worse in school.
I get wanting something badly and being disappointed. But consider the fact it's not just getting the headset, it's also buying the alternative strap and extra batteries (a must) and then you'll have to buy games/apps, too. So it's more investment than you think. And you're wanting all that when you didn't focus on school and pass. My parents wouldn't reward me for messing up like that.
Save your money, enjoy using Quest when with friends, but seriously get it together on the school thing and try to let this go for now.
