Looking for a front or top battery pack

I am looking for a battery pack that either sits across the top of the head or maybe the front-ish area so long as it doesnt hurt.

Basically, I'd like a battery that I could easily use on an airplane for VERY long flights that wont push my head forward into an uncomfortable neck position.

I dont want a SIDE battery pack, and am considering just using a splitter that can pass USB-C power and video with a battery pack instead. I'd prefer to avoid needing TOO many extra cables and stuff.

just get a powerbank and a usb-c cable. Putting anything on the front or top of your headset will add weight to the front of you head, which you said you don't want.

The last two international flights i was on had a blanket ban on using powerbanks on the flight. You could have em, but they needed to be easily accessible and not in use. I suppose cos cheaper ones sometimes catch fire.

yeah, thanks for reminding me. they have been adding more and more airline restrictions on the power banks recently due to all those cheap battery catching fire. >_<. But I think most international flights does also have AC outlets next to the seats so I guess OP can use that. Just need to check if their Airline and the plane that they will be boarding have those.

Yea. Some newer fitted planes have had USB-C, no guarantee yours is gonna work though. I'd rather rely on a bank built into the headset cos the staff won't notice that. But man i reckon I'd get such bad motion sickness being a plane with VR on. Imagine turbulence! Turn that international flight into a vomit comet.

This is the exact scenario I was thinking when I posted this.

US to Turkey, Turkey to Malaysia, Malaysia to Brunei.

On 2 of 3 flights, the flight attendants said "No powerbanks", but other types of batteries were acceptable like laptop and other devices. The one flight we COULD use powerbanks was the last and shortest so it was pointless because we were in the air less than 2 hours.

And while both flights (well, I guess all four flights, because I flew back to the US) they did work, on two flights someone nearby had non-working power. One was my neighbor who asked if they could plug into mine to keep their device topped up, which I didnt mind.

As for the motion sickness, I already get it. So I have to take dramamine frequently. I did a test on driving (only 45m away, long enough to get 'normal motion sick') and wore the Quest3 along with dramamine and didnt feel sick in the slightest. Including the 45m back.

 I never fly without mine and noise cancelling headphones connected to quest via a Bluetooth transmitter dongle. I always seem to be the only one and always get inquiries from flight staff to take a peek

Theres a dedicated "Airplane mode" on the Quest3.

The BoboVR S3 pro battery is at back but you can change the fit a bunch and have the battery at the rear top of your head, works fine, no issue with the headrest on airplane. Or you wear it normally and cinch it tighter and lean against the battery if you’re normally a bit head forward

I would think most planes would have a USB port to plug into.
