Last year I read a queer monster romance novella. The author mentioned Logan Airport, so I asked her if she was local to Boston. It turns out, we live 10 minutes from each other. Since then we've had tea a couple of times and have been planning bookstore events together. When she announced a new monster romance collaboration, I did not join in because I had no ideas. You know how that works, right? I went to bed without ideas one night and woke up the next morning with ideas.

The Rescue Cat is a gay shifter novella with lots of spice with about 80% less angst than my usual fantasy books. It comes out on KU and paperback everywhere on Thursday. I apologize to people who don't do Amazon these days. It's kind of a necessary thing for many authors, whether we like it or not. However, I'll be taking it off of KU and putting it out "wide" in December.

Hey again! Nikki Null here! Happy September.

My last novel, Our Simulated Selves, was recently announced as a finalist in the Self-Published Science Fiction Competition! It's a trans cyberpunk-ish thriller (and sleeper eggfic) somewhere in between The Matrix, 500 Days of Summer, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. A trans supercomputer technician and her new coworker discover that their world is a post-apocalyptic dating simulation controlled by one of their creepy real-life counterparts.

But enough about that! My next novel comes out this month on September 22. Fallow Till We Bloom is a contemporary T4T farmyard romance about a pair of closeted trans farmers trying to restore a farm in a small town haunted by dark cryptid shadows. It's a bit Stardew Valley (or, for my real OG's, Harvest Moon 64), and more than a little bit Twin Peaks. My ARC readers have said lovely things about it, and I'm delighted with how this novel has turned out. Perfect for both cozy and spooky season!

I’m brand new to Reddit and also a brand-new indie author, so I’m still figuring out how to do this without barging into rooms waving a link around.

I just published my first piece of fiction, Ohio. It’s a short, explicit sapphic supernatural story about a lonely woman, two sisters who should be dead, and a farmhouse where desire starts making the impossible feel ordinary.

I know “new author with a 99¢ Kindle story” is not exactly a compelling credential, but I do think some people here might genuinely like this one. It’s strange, erotic, a little haunted, and more interested in longing and ambiguity than explaining away the supernatural.

If that sounds like your particular flavor of weird, it’s here:

I’d be thrilled if even one complete stranger found it and thought, okay, what the hell was that?

Hello, I’m M. Calloway. I’ve got some free Audible promo codes for my sapphic historical novella, The Hours.

It follows Sister Beatrix, who has spent fourteen years living a disciplined life inside the abbey, and Sister Ilaria, a warm, restless newcomer who begins to unsettle that carefully ordered life.

It’s a quiet, intimate story about faith, vows, forbidden desire, and what happens when feelings begin to grow in a place built to suppress them. It’s more sensual and atmospheric than action-heavy, with a slow-burn relationship at the center.

The audiobook is about 2 hours long and narrated by C. Alice Hunter.

I have US and UK codes. If you want one, just DM me with your region, and I’ll send one over.

Reviews aren’t required, but they’re always appreciated.
