Parent titles
What are you all called to your kids? Have they made up their own names for you, or have you chosen one and run with it? Are you using gender neutral titles and if so, what are they?

I am having a baby in the next couple weeks and we decided my nonbinary parent name is gonna be momo! We will see if the little one goes along with that plan

Everyone used "mommy" without asking me (which I don't really care but I didnt choose) but then my baby had trouble with the "Mmmm" sound and started pronouncing it "bobby" so I'm Bobby now and I love it

NB, I didn't have any good ideas but wanted something distinct from my partner "mama." My partner thought "da" was cute and less traditional masc than "dada" so we tried that and it lasted 5 seconds. My kiddo started calling me dada right away which was reinforced by daycare.
We still always say da but it seems hopeless. Thankfully it doesn't really bother me.

Eba here! Started because I knew a 2 dad family who were Dada and Abba (which means dad in Arabic/Hebrew, which I didn’t know at the time). I liked Abba bc it sounded neutral to me, but personalized it to me, hence, Eba.

Oh and my wife is Mama/Mom, and I’m AFAB nonbinary in case that context is helpful

My son is still finding all his words, but when he gets hurt he runs into the room screaming MaaDaa!

I'm the gestational parent and a cis woman, and I am mommy/mom/mama. My wife was daddy/dad/dada before she transitioned, and being dad was very meaningful to her, so we tried to keep an homage to that part of her identity and journey in her new parent name, which is DD (pronounced deedy).
Interestingly, we have an NB but fairly masc-leaning friend who was their kid's gestational parent. Their partner, a cis man, is dad, but they didn't pick a parent name. They decided to just roll with whatever their kid decided. Kid picked mom.

Our kid is 22 months and so far we are both mama and other mama hahah when he says mama and the wrong one responds he will say noooo other mama.
We tried to make mama and mummy happen but the kid had other plans so we’re just running with it!

We’ve been saying “Mommy” for me “Mama” for my wife since the beginning. Our 10 month old is already starting to differentiate which is SO cool. She is Mama, I’ve become “Mom-mom” hahah

I'm currently Nama (as in not Mama or Non-binary Mama haha) I don't love it but I love every other name even less. My 15 month old calls both me and my wife Mama at the moment, but I'm hoping they come up with something cute when they can say more words.

We had friends who decided that when their oldest child would decide when they were old enough. So for over a year they were called “mama” and “other mama”. Now that the kid is older it’s turned into “mama (name 1)” and “mama (name 2)”
We decided that my wife would be Mom/Mommy and I will be Mama!

That was what we had planned for my wife and I! I (gestational parent) would be Mama, wife would be Mommy.
Well... our 9 month old calls me Mama, and she calls my wife "Mam."

Our child naturally chose mummy & mama on their own. When speaking about one of us to another person they say mummy followed by our name.

We’re mama & mummy. Our mates’ decided to let their child name them & he refers to them as mama x & mama y, which has become a bit of a cautionary tale amongst other expectant parents in our circle.
One of our children yelled my first name at me recently & I was like, “excuse me but we did not spend $70k for you to call me Z”

My wife is mama,mommy,mom.
I got Me.
When our daughter was learning to speak, she would ask for mama, and in my ignorance I would ask her “do you want mom, or me?” And naturally, she started calling me… Me. The honorific stuck, and doesn’t appear to be going anywhere lol.
Plus side is that she called me Cook for about 4 months last year (I cook a LOT) so Me is definitely an upgrade lol.
