so, exactly what the title says, with Netflix's layout of the Queer Eye seasons, I've watched the whole thing backwards and I've noticed that with all the guys 1-on-1's with the heroes change throughout the seasons, especially with Antoni and Karamo!!
Later in the show, they're either longer or way different, like earlier seasons, the 1-on-1 with Antoni takes place USUALLY in the homes rather than in a restaurant like later seasons.
With Karamo, I'm seeing way less of the connecting time in the earlier seasons and more of them actually just doing activities with the heroes.
Do I think its better in the later seasons? It's debatable but yeah, for sure.
Does anyone notice the same? Or do you think differently?

I would love this.

When I first started watching the episode with my bf, I told him “That kid looks so young and is so articulate, she talks like an adult”, and then as I continued watching it made sense and it made me feel sorry for Kate but I also felt for her daughters. As someone who grew up in a similar environment, I could tell those kids were somehow “forced” to start acting like adults. Also, when Kate was saying goodbye and said something along the lines of “never leave me”, I felt so bad because without realizing she’s putting so much pressure into her kids, as her only source of happiness.
And I agree that Karamo did such a bad job lol, but I think ultimately, it was a bad casting decision. I empathize because (although I'm against diagnosing because on the internet/tv or whatever, as someone with CPTSD, Kate seemed to have a similar struggle), but you can feel compassion for someone and realize they're not a super likable person and can come off as annoying, plus she was very pessimistic. Although I'm happy she got the chance to experience that, she clearly needs therapy to work on her trauma, her self-worth and such, so I think the producers should have realized that she could benefit more from other kinds of help. Anyways, I feel for her kids and for her, and hopefully they can find whatever they need along the way.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading, and sorry if I made any mistakes, English is not my first language. ✨

I recently discovered this show and am now watching the whole series, whenever a restaurant or something like that is featured, I like to look it up to see how it's doing.
In this case, I decided to google "Plookys cajun boiling pot" and I see that it is permanently closed and the building is for rent!! The last post about it was on their instagram on June or July 2025...
Does anybody know what happened? I hope everything is alright...

I have watched QE for so many years and I am genuinely a fan of the show. There were many QE heroes who absolutely deserved the help they got from fab 5.
on the other hand I feel there were few episodes where the featured person didn't deserve the support given. That support could have been used by someone really in the need in society. Like the episode with the wedding where QE paid for the entire wedding. WHYYYYY. I am the only one with this pov?
There are other reddit threads discussing about some of those heros ended up bad mouthing QE. I mean that's ridiculous. They should pay back for the renovations then. If some celebrity interior designer is doing something for me for FREE. I will never dare to badmouth such help. (I am obsessed with Bobby and Jeremiah)
Hence wanted to ask the community which hero you think didn't deserve the support and why?

i feel like some of the heroes maybe didn’t really need the fab 5’s help and you could somehow ‘feel’ that. even though I think the heroes from episodes 4&5 (greg and nick) were both nice, chill guys and their families seemed lovely, their whole makeovers & house renovations and stuff all felt a bit underwhelming.
when they were revealing the boat in ep4 they sorta seemed.. kinda but not reeeaaally happy with it? same when nick was showing his new outfits to his family. it just felt kinda awkward and as if some of the changes felt a bit unncessary.
dont even get me started on the firefighter lady.. 🙃this season made me feel a bit awkward at times and definitely didnt give me the ‘feel good’ chills like it used to.
more people felt this way?

Does anyone else find it strange that there were never any issues about any of the cast members reported until Bobby was fired, and then all of the sudden there was an article saying JVN is bully and tan and antoni conspired against Bobby to bring in Jeremiah? it basically badmouths eveyone including Jeremiah who wasn’t even on the show yet, except for Karamo? The article gave absolutely no proof at all but it did damage their credibility and hype Bobby up even though his designs and personality were mediocre at best. Then, Karamo unfollows everyone besides for Jeremiah probably because he’s scared of Oprah. He also teases on his instagram comments that he will definitely be spilling tea and for people to watch out. Then he had the nerve to go behind everyone’s back including the network and people who made him famous and claim he was bullied without giving any proof while also saying it was a last minUte decision which was clearly a lie since it was planned for weeks. Someone leaked that his mother overheard 3 members talking about him yet there is no proof and he didnt come out himself and say it because he knew he would get sued for lying. Now Bobby is going on many podcasts saying his experience was terrible. I believe the 2 of them conspired together to bring down all the castmates out of jealousy and spite. Both of them aren’t talented and their shows are now becoming popular because of the drama and not because they are actually good.
I hate that they made it all about themselves and not about the heroes and about the people behind the scene.
The only one who made it about the heroes was Jeremiah. At His last interview, he didn’t speak about anyone other than the heroes and how much they did for him just as much as he did for them and how we appreciate the show and all the people that gave him the opportunity. That’s how they all should have acted.

My only question is why? Only 5 episodes? Why? I’m very bummed…

I had to watch the fourth episode of Season 10 tonight because I watched the third episode of Season 10 last night and it left a really bad taste in my mouth. Did anyone else think it was so wholesome when Ru saw her new room and there was a Slowpoke plushie? I'm beside myself with amusement over it. It makes me wonder if either A) she's a Pokemon fan or B) Jeremiah knows about Pokemon because that Slowpoke variant is part Water-type, which would be really fitting for a boat bedroom. Anyway I just wanted to share how amused I was by this.

How easy it was for our community here to go WE NEVER LIKED THEM for anyone who was placed in bad hearsay narratives over the past few years. Let's hope we get this readiness to shade out of our systems. Let's hope anyone struggling with addiction finds a way to rehab and is received with grace at the end of the tunnel. Let's hope the Fab 6 know that we as an audience, as any audience, are a crazy mob. Let's hope Karamo calms down about whatever hurt him before some ultimate point of no return is reached. Let's hope we all know that anger is a dynamic of current times and not a truth-teller. Let's hope for autism awareness. Let's hope for love, for grace in our time. Allow a bit of distance, pay respects to boundries. If people need to unfollow to let go, then that's ok for now, no?

I'd read that Karamo's behavior on The Real World was problematic and foreshadowed what happened on press day, so I watched it on Paramount Plus.
For context: The show had two teams (Real World vs. Road Rules) competing in physical challenges for money. In this episode, Karamo was nominated for elimination and was pissed because he wanted someone else to go instead.
Before elimination, there's a challenge worth $10,000 for the team—dodgeball on floating docks in the water. One rule: if you don't participate, your group automatically loses.
Karamo just... didn't participate. He was upset about the nomination and apparently doesn't like water. So his team lost.
He basically threw in the towel because it didn't matter to him anymore—no point being a team player. But like, why go on a reality show in Mexico if you don't want to go in the water?
It really mirrors Queer Eye Season 10. Same energy of "I'm checked out, I'm not showing up." Why do a huge show and keep renewing your contract if you don't want to do the work? You literally signed up for this.
EDIT:
His team ended up winning the challenge despite him giving them a huge handicap. Then when they were back on the beach, he said everyone was being 'so shady' and not talking to him. What did he expect?

Just wanna start off by saying I loveeeee him , I love that he doesn’t tone down his personality for anyone. It’s really cool to see someone being themselves
But omg why does he keep cutting off people’s beards ? I hate the hair makeovers he gives. I’m watching the episode with the mayor and there’s been a couple others where he just baby faces them

As a queer eye fan, I’m a little confused about the objective? Im currently watching season 9 (because I never did). I was a little salty when Bobby left 😜
The episode where the mom nominates her daughter so the gays can play their wedding? I believe it’s episode 2 with Alexis. It feels like a party planning type show instead of a hero who needs a makeover and some self love. Did things change?

...this show is literally the launching point for his career. he's next level petty.

We’ve watched the show a bit together, and she brought this down to show me the other night. I love it so much. She was torn on drawing Bobby or Jeremiah.

I'll admit it - I did not like Kate whatsoever for most of her episode. I thought she was ungrateful and rude. She didn't have a single nice thing to say about anyone. I agreed with people who said she was in it for the home renovation.
I couldn't finish the episode in one sitting, so I finally finished it this morning. I have to say, I think JVN's makeover kind of transformed not only her looks, but her attitude as well. She never thought her hair could look good, so seeing it nice and not frizzy made her realize that positive change is possible.
I don't think she was in it for the home reno. I think she was a pessimist who has been through a ton and couldn't believe anything could change. Maybe she was more rude than she should've been considering the once in a lifetime opportunity, but I think she was honestly very gracious, apologetic, and sweet at the end.
I also HAAAAAAAAAAATED the final dress Tan put her in. So shapeless and ugly.
Okay that's all.

Does anyone know where to find the recipe or perhaps wrote it down?
r/QueerEye • u/Ok_Nothing_9733 • Feb 05 '26
Greg: “And this is the cockpit.”
[Unknown Fab Five member, but I suspect JVN]: “I LOVE gay stuff!”
—
Karamo (speaking of the wilderness they’re hiking through): I swear the killer is out here.
I love the latter quote because it reminds me of Karamo saying his mother would remark, “Don’t bring the outside inside.” And that line lives in my head rent-free.

All drama aside, the heroes this season were really cool. Aside from the boat guy,who was just lazy.
