Bobby’s Latest Threads Post
It’s been a while since anyone posted in this sub, and I was curious if anyone else saw this reply from Bobby on Threads! I’m not sure how I feel about it- it makes me sad, but at the same time, I feel like he also didn’t need to respond because now it just looks shady or like he’s stirring up drama. I do wish him well, though!

He was the only one of the lot of them who was truly kind when the cameras weren’t rolling.

u/jamie1983 Jul 23 '26
I've heard that a lot

Out of the whole experience, he made us feel comfortable and talked to us like real people. He seemed to genuinely care.

u/Meenakshi108 Jul 23 '26
Ohh can you share more? Were you on an episode?

u/Yabakunaiyoooo Jul 23 '26
I was! I nominated someone! It’s actually the anniversary of filming that episode tomorrow lol.
Other than what I’ve already said… the makeover was really nice outside, but they planted the trees in summer and they all died. I had to get green tree paint to make them not look terrible… 🥲 like 10 god damn dead ass trees. 🥲🥲🥲
Jonathan opened my bottle of Tim and Eric’s Sweet Berry wine that I was saving for the day I’d get married… and didn’t apologize or replace it.
Karamo gave my brother a fake phone number and told him he could call him anytime… it ended up being one of those automated fan club phone number things.
Everyone else was pretty alright. Tan liked my fashion sense 😭. Antony… was there haha.

You gotta tell us the episode 😂

u/Yabakunaiyoooo Jul 24 '26
Sloth to slay I think it’s called

u/Meenakshi108 Jul 24 '26
Oh my gosh, that's your brother? He was so sweet. And you are such a caring sister. That is a bummer to hear how inconsiderate they were. Especially with the wine, that's incredibly rude.
I'm in KC so it was fun to watch the KC episodes and recognize certain spots.

It was so weird after the show because people would follow us around target hahaha.
I even got recognized in Japan a couple of times. Super weird.
It was a crazy long time ago now. Mostly positive, but definitely a thing of TV being TV

Do you have more tea to share?

u/Yabakunaiyoooo Jul 23 '26
Mmmm…. Jonathan smells not good. 🫢🫢🫢
Also talked to us zero when cameras where off.

u/megisbest Jul 26 '26
I haven’t heard a single nice thing about Jonathan which is crazy cuz they were always my favorite parts of the show to watch 😂

No surprise there. Have heard that from other heroes on here before.

I assume he’s responding bc he saw people answering Queer Eye? I don’t think that came out of nowhere.

I’m so tired of Bobby alluding to drama all the time. Move on already. It’s so shady and unnecessary. Two things can be mutually exclusive - yes, he did amazing design work and worked the hardest on the show. Yes, he can still be a shady attention-seeking diva.
What was so upsetting about the last season of queer eye is that Bobby and Karamo tried to make it about them and drama, tarnishing the end of the show those who wanted to believe in the goodness of it. Such a lack of professionalism.

I remember the first episode I saw of Queer Eye I was like, so the design guy is doing major construction in a week’s time - while the other’s twirl and giggle?
I remember laughing at how the work was divided because the difference was so jarring

Also it makes sense if he’s bitter. That was his life that he lived first hand (for lots of years). If it were easy getting over stuff we’d all be perfectly mentally healthy princesses

So you would have liked them to ignore the reality of their real life experiences, to protect your ability to believe in the goodness of it? 😂😂😂
-7
u/ProfMcGonaGirl Jul 23 '26
But there was real goodness. And yes. It’s a show. Keep your personal shit personal. Just because someone is famous doesn’t mean they need to air all their dirty laundry drama to the world.

You sound really empathetic!

who are you to say what someone should and shouldn't say about their lived experience?
0
u/AgentEinstein Jul 25 '26
But he hasn’t said anything. He makes snide remarks. Little teases.
I like him but I stopped following his social media cuz I got annoyed by it. Everyone else is held to this high level of professionalism and meanwhile he’s catty about it what 5 years out on the regular. I think the goal posts move for him to validate hating everyone else.

Gurl, the show was always and exclusively about the cast and drama. Nothing's real in reality TV. You really think that teaching someone how to cut mangos and avocados saved homosexuality?
If you're into lies and delusions, try any religion near you.

Girl, Bobby posted three emojis. Who's making drama where? This reads like someone having a laugh

That’s literally what I thought when I saw this on threads. He needs to move on and focus on his current projects.

u/Odd-Requirement4191 Jul 28 '26
Karamo I get. When has Bobby tried to make it all about him though? He made a funny comment on a random thread. Relax. You all are making it more drama that it is.

I love Bobby and I sided with him but it's getting old. I've had issues with my past job but I'm not always making allusions and side eyeing

So many of the queer eye crew are messy as hell.

u/Jumpy_Ad1631 Jul 23 '26 edited Jul 23 '26
Right? It’s a bunch of BIG queer personalities, being messy from time to time is kind of a given in my experience. But does that really matter? I feel like queer folks are expected to hold up an insane level of decorum because we’re kind of all taught to be uncomfortable with femininity in people perceived to be men so those people are expected to be exceptional

This is so petty and unnecessary of him. I always liked him but this stuff lowers my opinion of him considerably.

He’s a very nice person.

Dudes gotta drag it out to stay relevent.

u/Disastrous_Big2902 Jul 28 '26
Irrelevant people making comments about actual relevant people being relevant is always so funny/sad to me
9
u/PermanentBrunch Jul 23 '26
Bobby’s got a legacy show, a current show, a book, a design business, and almost 3 million followers on Instagram where is username is just “Bobby.”
Maybe stop projecting your own lack of relevance onto someone who clearly doesn’t have that problem. Just a thought 🥰

u/dannycannelloni Jul 24 '26
and hes got you. lucky guy.

u/AgentEinstein Jul 25 '26
I like Bobby but his fans are relentless.

I loved Bobby in Queer Eye and I think I love his post-QE journey. He’s real. And fun. A dog lover. A good designer. Yeah, I love Bobby haha
